I did not read #22 yet only read up to #21 but your on target. The stories are too predictable, like ofcourse most comics we kind of know how it will end but its the in-between how you get there is what keeps you. There is no in-between solid build up in most of Jed Mackays issues here...

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Jan 05, 2025And then theres the fact that Black Cat is fashionably late for her guest appearance in the issue. Shes right there on the cover--the ONLY character on the cover who appears in person and she doesnt even show-up until right around the end of the issue. So its a bit of a disappointment that shes not playing a bigger part in the outset of the multi-issue story. Its too bad that she couldnt have been brought-in a little bit earlier. Read Full Review

The Comicbook Dispatch - StoryBabbler
Feb 05, 2025Avengers #22 gets back on to the main plot with a fun story to do it. While its not exactly new to them, seeing the Avengers engage in a heist is a little fun and changes things up a little. Some of it is a little too over the top, but its not so bad seeing some characters out of their element, thankfully because its part of their plan and not bad writing. Other than that, the cover kind of spoils the big reveal at the end. Read Full Review
