But Why Tho? - William Tucker
Apr 26, 2022Justice League #75 is a huge issue, bridging two stories together. Williamson brings this series close with a crushing blow. Bendis contribution should no be understated, as building this group up to this point is very important for what Williamson does to them in this issue. It is loud, epic, and unrelenting, as the artists reveal in a remarkable battle. It also shows what these creators are willing to do as we plunge headfirst into Dark Crisis. Read Full Review

Apr 26, 2022Well, Justice League #75 certainly started off Joshua Williamson's Dark Crisis with a bang. I can't think of a more effective way to catch the attention of readers than killing off the DCU's biggest legends in one fell swoop. And by taking them off the board, it provides an opportunity for other characters to come to forefront. And by starting his story with such a bold move, Williamson is showing readers that he's not messing around. This is going to be a story of true import. Read Full Review

Apr 26, 2022Williamson had a few jobs here. He had to get us excited for Dark Crisis. He had to get us invested in these characters and make us care when they fell. He did both perfectly, and his choice of the sole survivor is a curve ball to be sure. It's an excellent kick-off to the bold next era of DC Comics. Read Full Review

Apr 26, 2022This is a noteworthy moment in the DC Universe as we march towards the Dark Crisis. The issue showcases why they are the World's Greatest Heroes, but Williamson comes up with a significant threat to take them down. Now wrap that up in Sandoval's art, and you will be entertained! Apr 26, 2022This volume of Justice League will surely go down as a mixed bag in future evaluations, though with issue #75 it ends on a strong note. Williamson kicks a story he began in Justice League Incarnate into gear as he delivers the Death of the Justice League in this monumental comic. It is worth noting that Justice League Incarnate will certainly be required reading to understand the happenings of Justice League #75 and the upcoming Dark Crisis series. This chapter in that wider tale suggests that catching up will be well worth it in the end. Read Full Review

Apr 27, 2022"Death of the Justice League" may not have been able to solve all its sizing dilemmas on its own, but it makes up for any shortcomings more than enough with its larger-than-life depictions of the heroes and their brawls. Read Full Review

Apr 27, 2022Justice League #75 is a good prelude to Dark Crisis. It does exactly what it advertises and does it in an entertaining fashion. Williamson supplies an action-packed script, and the art team knocks it out of the park. Its not a perfect comic, but its entertaining, which is really all that matters in the end. Read Full Review

May 02, 2022To paraphrase Wolverine "just because I've died before, doesn't mean death doesn't hurt; and with that being the standard, Joshua Williamson brings the type of pain that puts smile's on faces, like a trip to Suplex City only can. Read Full Review

Apr 26, 2022With great art throughout, this issue will for the most part, in the context of the story deliver what it promised...... even more for a certain character and it acts as a great prologue to what's to come, even if it is bogged down a bit with the recap. I look forward to Dark Crisis and with our main players incapacitated, for the time being, I can't wait to see how the rest of the DC Universe answers the threat when they're called upon. Apr 26, 2022Joshua Williamson and Rafa Sandoval lived up to what was promised by Justice League #75 for months. Though certain aspects about "The Death Of The Justice League were rushed the mission was accomplished in building interest for the upcoming Dark Crisis event. I am invested in where Williamson is planning to take the DC Universe next with all the major heroes taken out of the equation. If you are intrigued by the upcoming Dark Crisis event this is a comic book you'll want to pick up and read. Read Full Review

Apr 28, 2022Click on the image above to view the full-size page in another tab.Justice League #75 may be the most anticlimactic first issue of any new creative team in recent memory. This is largely because this issue has nothing to say beyond "Read this book that is coming out later. Apr 28, 2022The issue offers exactly what the cover promises in the death of major DC heroes (although I'm not sure how this will impact those with their own monthly titles). Apr 26, 2022I definitely would not recommend spending $5.99 for such a shallow story that lacks any creativity or passion. Keep your money in your wallet for something far more worth it.
