Supergirl and Robin might make a really good team for Worlds Finest. Batman and Superman have had it together for so long that its nice to see a relatively untested pair in the center of the panel. An awkward date between superheroes is a nice outlet for that. As obvious a comic premise as it is, its not one that makes it between the covers all that often. Batman / Superman: World's Finest #12 breaks from world-ending events and lethal villains for a lighthearted and thoroughly amusing comedy of errors. This title has been useful for setting up the new DCU continuity, which puts Supergirl back in her original place as the first Super-sidekick and makes her a bit of a peer to Dick Grayson. As the same generation, they also have a meet cute and briefly consider datingonly for it to go horribly wrong. Read Full Review

I had a blast reading Batman/Superman: Worlds Finest #12. Though it isnt essential to the main story of the series, I would say it is a must-read for readers. In a world where mainstream Batman is always sad and the Big Two can't stop turning a blind eye to customers' event fatigue, this issue is a breath of fresh air. It's awkward and funny and well-drawn, and anyone can pick up this issue without having had to read previous comics in order to enjoy it. I recommend this comic to everyone who's looking for some awkward comedy in their monthly rotation, or people who are big fans of either Supergirl or Robin. Enjoy! Read Full Review

Even without Dan Mora this issue continues to be one of the best things in comics today. Everything just flows so nicely. Yes this may be “filler” and the action is sparse, but the dynamics between Dick and Kara, Dick and Bruce, Kara and Kal are just, god they are so good. I felt second-hand embarrassment for Dick in this one. Mark Waid continues to write his best work in years. 12 issues in and this is still a can’t miss book.

Delightful, and a handy reminder that Dan Mora's not the only thing to like about this book. Given the many comic book relationships that have little substance or cause beyond the writer pairing characters off, I'm always a fan of superheroes going on dates and realizing they're completely wrong for one another, and Waid & Lupacchino do it with charm, wit and tender insight. Probably my favorite issue of the series so far

This hurt to read. Not because it was bad but because of how real and relatable it is. It's unbelievably frustrating to see Dick be so distracted with himself and not notice Kara or anything she is saying. But we've been there. On both sides of the table. It's great, heartbreaking and cringey.

I wasn't extremely happy with this issue. I don't think Dick or Kara acted like in previous iterations. They went to dinner in their costumes, which was not something Dick would do. He's not an idiot and he would have planned out dinner to the Nth degree. Even his younger version was a planner, here he just came off as a schmuck for a laugh. If anything, he would have over-planned it, which would also have been funny and kept with his character. Do you think he became the leader of the Teen Titans by acting like this? Kara openly says that she didn't like herself around him. Who says that about Dick (no pun intended)? Not a good issue when compared to the others.

A miss for me. So far, World’s Finest has felt like a Saturday morning cartoon but this flashback feels like a Sit-Com with too many fake laugh-tracks. The beginning was fine and the awkwardness was great, but then characterization got betrayed for the same old boy-meets-girl tropes. Some stuff also didn’t seem thought through in a way that to me looks like Waid forced himself to write one thing because it is the trope and then tried to back-paddle. The way death was talked about in this issue was weird and not in a funny way.
