Batman & Robin: Year One #6 leans into the strengths of the previous issues and it seems like Waid and Samnee want the readers to see this. Now that the series is halfway through, it is obvious that readers are witnessing Batman and Robin becoming the Dynamic Duo we know and love but there are some growing pains. Readers have been missing seeing Batman and Robin lead a title together and now readers have the choice between two and there is no bad choice. This might be the best issue of this series so far. Batman and Robin: Year One #6 seems to have it all, yet not feel overstuffed, a real testament to the "simplicity approach, and yet it lacks nothing either. DC doesn't have enough book like this. Furthermore, this issue also feels accessible to a new reader despite it being in the middle of the arc. The real draw is the development of the Batman and Robin partnership and that shines through strong enough to carry the series. Read Full Review

Mark Waid continues to kill it. This is arguably the best DC book alongside Absolute Batman. Such a great time to be a Batman fan.

Hot take is that I like this more than World finest Batman and Superman. This was really well-written and I like the art here. I like how Bruce and Dick Grayson just vent each other out and talk about their emotional turmoil to resolve their conflict. But the action is so dynamic and fluid

Continuing the very good storytelling by this superb team, we enjoy more deep dives into the formative early days of the Bruce/Dick relationship, framed around an interesting villain. Couldn’t ask for a better Year One story than this.
