This arc has been a welcome surprise from the twist of Ra's being the main antagonist to the way Brainiac has been incorporated. Each of the Big 3 Absolute Universe titles have been on an incredibly compelling creative run, but Absolute Superman might be the best one right now. This is a pretty enjoyable issue. I loved how we see Brainiac's hierarchy disrupted by Superman's ability to almost whisper super quietly and spark a rebellion. I can't say I am enjoying this comic in a classic way. It is an uncomfortable read. This isn't classic Superman but it isn't supposed to be. But I do find it innovative and appropriately dark. I loved it from start to finish. this one had a big kick to it and the panels are beautiful. Art rocks and so does the story. Can't wait for the next issue.

The last few issues have built up to this perfect chapter, wherein the art and writing come together to tell a harrowing tale of violence and torture that, through it all, shows the incredible resilience of the Absolute Man of Steel and his allies. As the action now shifts to Kansas, I can’t wait to see where things go from here, and in the meantime, I’m going to have nightmares about Braniac!

I'm dying for this arc to end so we can have more normalcy and the characters can talk more. Still, I liked the issue; the absolute brainiac is a very scary version of the original, and I like that. I like the Lois and Jimmy scenes, even though it's pretty boring that they're both military in this version. I like this kal(hot take?!) but he needs more autonomy, I think he will start to gain from now on. Anyway, it's still good, but Ra's al Ghul has to be out of this book.

Didn't enjoy this as much as the last two issues, but it was still really good stuff overall. Giandomenico continues to do a nice job filling in for Rafa Sandoval here. Although, the writing is what took this down for me a bit. The story is good, but some of the dialogue wasn't my favorite. Furthermore, I felt as though the story jumped around just a little too much for me. In any case, this was still another really good book and I'm looking forward to what's next.
