Yeah but at least Failsafe didn't take at least a year of buildup like the rest of them did.

Birds of Prey #24
The Shadow Army has had the upper hand from the jump, but the jump is longpast, and the Birds are ready to get their people back and throw down like it'spersonal. And yeah, it is.
Another Batman arc who's premise seems to be: what if we got characters to act like idiot versions of themselves and fight?!
Batman #161
Batman's battle with Hush takes a dark turn when Damian (Robin) and Bane team up!
Dunno how to feel about this issue. There's some plot movement, but it occurs mostly at the end of the issue when Cela shows up (conviently) with answers. The ending lacks meaningful tension since we know Babs ain't dying; maybe Cela could conceivably be killed, but Thompson seems intent on keeping her around. My guess for next issue would have be neither Babs or Cela die; they both somehow surviv more
Birds of Prey #22
The Birds investigate the disappearance of one of their own, hoping it will leadthem to both their missing comrade and the truth about the mysterious villainsattacking from the shadows. Meanwhile, the Shadow Army makes another big move, with Oracle on the explosive receiving end.
Reminds me of Gotham War. Another story arc in this comic that based its narrative on forced conflict and OOC characterization. They should all be smart/experienced enough to not act like idiots and punch each other.
Batman #160
The gentleman's name is Silence, and his alliance with Hush willdestroy Batman!
Detective Comics #1097
In the wake of Asema's murderous rampage, a new threat to Gotham-andthe world at large-has been exposed. Still reeling from personal revelationsabout his past, Batman must take on a group obsessed with their ownfuture. A group that has targeted a dear friend.
Nightwing #126
Has Blüdhaven's first corrupt police officer truly returned from the dead to strikedown honest cops...or is there a sinister conspiracy in the heart of CommissionerSawyer's department? Nightwing isn't sure which might be worse-if he cansurvive long enough to find out.
An okay issue. Nothing impressed me, except the ending, which was a little surprising. I mean, I wasn't surprised to see Barda get captured (last issue foreshadowed as much), but the ending still managed to surprise me.
Birds of Prey #21
A new villain team, fashioned specifically to take out the Birds of Prey, has emergedin dramatic fashion. And with the Birds deliberately scattered across the globeinvestigating both real and false leads, they're more vulnerable than ever. With thestrongest of them already fallen, how can any of them survive what's coming?
Detective Comics #1091
A BRAND-NEW VILLAIN STALKS THE STREETS OF GOTHAM CITY! When we last left Bruce Wayne he was offered a mysterious youth serum, known only as Sangraal, that promises to rejuvenate his body and mind--making him as strong and nimble as he once was. But can he possibly accept this strange gift? Meanwhile, the sinister, scalpel-fingered villain known as ...
Birds of Prey #15
THE TEAM UNCOVERS THE NINTH DAY CULT'S DEADLY SECRETS! Things have gone sideways in the Birds of Prey's investigation of the Ninth Day cult, and the Birds' undercover operative, Cassandra Cain, has gone deathly silent. The team going in to break her out are heavy hitters of the highest order--Black Canary, Big Barda, Grace Choi, and Onyx--with Orac...
Slow moving plot. Literally the only movement comes from pink hair girl's exposition. We learn what the monster thing is, it's origin, annnd it's (apparent) motive for coming after Barbara.
Needless to say, that is way too much to reveal in chit-chat from some random OC.
Sans Cela's convenient narrative, the plot has no meaningful movement
Birds of Prey #10
It's Barda's world now, and we're all just living in it. As the Birds search for Barbara inside the mysterious portal that keeps changing (and also trying to kill them), separating enemy from ally is getting harder than ever--and more important than ever.
This issue was chugging along, with its usual problems - pacing too fast, narration doesn't match scenes, Selina knows too much, people believe / care too much about Selina for no reason, everyone has the same voice, the villains aren't credible - but mostly I thought it was ok. And then I got to the last scene. And Selina's plan is to ally with a cannibal??? Who literally eats people as his thin more
Catwoman #65
THE FINAL ACT OF NINE LIVES BEGINS HERE! Catwoman is dead meat. With a certifiable cutthroat and cannibalistic cabal of criminals converging on Catwoman, the feline femme fatale finds herself searching the ends of the earth for an ally in her struggle. But first she'll have to escape from her current predicament: a deadly black site prison.
Nothing much happens. (Extra point for slight intrigue about some of the breadcrumbs the comic does drop.)
Birds of Prey #9
If the Birds of Prey have one mission, it's protect Barbara Gordon at all costs, and that mission is...not going great. Dinah and her team search for Barbara in this strange new world that seems specifically designed to trip them up. Many mysteries lurk in the dark of this world, and some of them don't even want to kill you...probably.
Isn't this the fourth time in four years that Gotham has fallen to a warlord in a personal war with Batman? Bane, Joker, Scarecrow, and now Failsafe.
Batman #128
Failsafe has taken his family, his allies, and now his city...Broken and beaten, Batman retreats to the last place on Earth he can hide...but nothing can truly hide from Failsafe!
In the backup...Batman has prepared his mind for anything, or so he thought. We go back to his early days and a chilling case that led to...Failsafe!
i don’t have to justify my opinion, i like it that’s it and unlike you i’m not so arrogant to think my opinion it’s better than everybody else’s.
Just an observation that this title keeps circling back to a particular story a lot recently. If you haven't read all of those other stories then it doesn't make a difference. If you like this style of Gotham Under Siege Dark Knight Rises story then it doesn't make a difference. But if you're reading this as a continuing series why don't four sieges in recent history seem to have a cumulative effect?
Nightwing #96
They say love is when two hearts find their happy place right next to each other, but to Heartless, that's just the wall of jars of hearts he has in his back office. As Dick and Babs's two hearts do find their happy place next to each other, one question they ask each other proves difficult to answer.
Pretty sure this will be the lowest score I'll give Taylor's Nightwing. It was terrific before Tyrion's nothing-event infected the whole Bat-line. He's not a bad writer, just a bad Batman writer. I wish him the best but as a DC fan I won't miss him. It will be great to have Taylor writing the book he wants to be writing again because that book has been dynamite.
Nightwing #86
Nightwing and Babs have fought through the fear-stricken Gotham streets, but now their fight takes them to the skies above Gotham, with the Batgirls and Tim Drake (Robin) in tow! Now aboard the Magistrate's Skybase-01, they have made it their mission to bring the airborne leviathan down, prevent Seer's disinformation from being broadcast, and save ...
Nightwing #83
It's a fight for the soul of the city! Now that Dick Grayson has inherited more money than he could possibly need, he has an idea on how he can help the city with it-and it's time for him to announce it to the world! But with Blüdhaven's so beyond saving, what idea does he have that could possible save it? Meanwhile, an unexpected figure comes int...
1.I'm getting a little tired of some fans saying Taylor is a bad writer. I'm not sure that anyone is writing a better series than this one, possibly at any company. He has also made me a fan of Jonathan Kent and even of him in the Superman role in one issue flat. I didn't think any writer capable of that. The guys is shitting gold lately. DC should give him the run of the place or at least give hi more

@Weird Science Jim. No one is complaining about you. They're complaining about the obvious review bombing from newly made accounts, and that one idiot who thinks everything is an attack on his precious Trump.
Not gonna get deep into the Afghanistan pullout because nuance is dead here, but "Afghani" is a currency. Calling the Afghan people "Afghanis" is basically telling everyone in the room that you don't know anything about the conflict.
This is a great issue of a superhero comic that I'm sure will get a lot of shit for having a hero that cares about people in it.

Nightwing #80
Dick Grayson's always had a big heart. From protecting those persecuted by bullies in his youth, to combating evil alongside Batman as Robin, to pledging his newly inherited wealth to enriching Blüdhaven as Nightwing-his kindness and generosity have always guided his life. But now a new villain stalks the back alleys of Blüdhaven, removing the he...
I think James Tynion got bitten by radioactive exposition when he was a youth.
Because that's what his stories boil down to. Tons of exposition where he builds and builds his world. The action is an afterthought that mostly takes place off stage.
The result are stories that go nowhere, aren't interesting to read once everything is done and depends on his characters.

Batman #108
Batman goes undercover to infiltrate the transhumanist gang known as the Unsanity Collective and learn more about their sudden appearance in Gotham. And what nefarious plans does Simon Saint have for Arkham Day survivor Sean Mahoney? How does it connect to the Magistrate?
And in part two of the action-packed, bone-rattling Ghost-Maker backu...
Yes, I agree with you @Mingthemerciless in regards to Tyrion compulsively and carelessly playing characters. I think Gosthmaker lacks a lot to be Deathpool hahaha your comment was funny. And to my liking being that Tynion is doing a lot of damage to Batman.
Personally, I think that DC is experimenting and what they are doing is very messy and desperate. And I don't understand why Tynion is doing a decent job on the Joker and not Batman. Zdarsky may be balancing DC's books a bit, but the idea of putting in bad stories to drive up prices from my perspective only ruins the book.
