Another fun issue, but the fun seems to be wearing thin with the lack of movement of the plot is starting to make the book drag. The lack of development on much of the cast is also becoming an issue. X-Men #11 hits in all the ways you want a big team book to hit. Gerry Duggan and Pepe Larraz created multiple storylines for different characters that you are all equally invested in. X-Men #11 is yet another example of a beautifully drawn book that fails completely when it comes to the script. Duggan seems to do his best writing in the art direction because anything he does on his own that the artists don't have a say in is terrible. At least in this issue, he remembered the Phoenix never actually had control of Jean Grey. Honestly, this is the type of comic where the reader should just look at the pictures. They'll still understand what's happening and save themselves from reading some weak writing. That's why there will be two grades for this issue- one for art and one for writing because the art doesn't deserve to be bogged down by this kind of terrible writing. Read Full Review

Cordyceps Jones returns! This kinda feels like a classic Claremont comic. A team of X-Women battling a mind-controlling fungal alien and featuring a Mojo cameo? Yeah, I had a blast with this issue.

Oh this was good! Certainly the real star here is Pepe Larraz, who returns from his hiatus with some truly incredible work, but Duggan is also awake and engaged in a way he hasn't always been on this title. Heroes infiltrating an evil casino is an idea that's been done before and better — we're far from the epoch-making Hickman era here — but Duggan has fun with it and intertwines it well with the Cyclops/Stasis plot, and there's tons of quality lines here. Add in the return of Rogue's magnificent Hellfire Gala costume and an intriguing cliffhanger and you've got one of the best issues of this uneven run.

Great issue with Duggan doing his work a bit better around this time but Pepe Larraz is the absolute star here. He can make anything look Magistical! Along with Marte Gracia's energetic colors and this is the best looking art of 2022! The fact that I want more makes me feel better about where we're going.

Cool issue. I like the team split up and having separate moments. And...stuff happens for a change. Not sold on Synch's power creep. Otherwise, I want to know what happens next which is big step in right direction.

Escrito por Gerry Duggan, quien ha llevado la línea de los mutantes desde ya unos meses atrás. Pepe Larraz sigue siendo un dios visual, que da en cada comic demuestra porque es uno de los mejores del mundo. Marte Gracia nos regala unos colores, que al mezclarlos con el arte de Pepe Larraz, nos da todo un mundo visual maravilloso. Lo malo. La historia nos muestra por fin, después de 11 números una revelación sobre la identidad de uno de los mayores villanos de este volumen. Fuera de eso, seguimos con una historia lenta como la tortuga, y con poca relevancia oh momentos donde uno pueda querer desear más de este comic. Si no fuera por el arte de Larraz y el color de Marte, el comic pasaría a ser uno más a la lista de dejar de leer, y esperar a que algún youtuber lo narre. Lo Bueno. La revelación del Dr.Stasis, quien por fin atamos cabos a que es uno de los pocos que podría hacer esos animales mutados y tener mucha información sobre los mutantes al mismo tiempo. La incógnita del símbolo en su frente nos hace creer que no es solo uno de estos clones, sino toda una escalera real. Pero esto deja más preguntas, será que este personaje ya conoce su futuro después de lo que Moira le conto y debido a esto está jugando su propio camino, ¿escogiendo ambos bandos para ver así siempre quedar ganador?... Bien hecho Dugan, bien hecho. Lo !@#$@%# La revelación de la identidad del Dr.Stasis, para nada se veía venir. Adicional al jefe hongo que tiene esporas de el en todos sus empleados…nasty jefe. more

The branching plotlines Duggan's been seeding since #1 have finally taken root and started to collide in the best of ways. I really don't think the characterizations of the main cast could be handled any better, as we get great moments for nearly every one on the team. Synch's moment in particular was amazing and perfectly drawn by Larraz, who's style was sorely missed the past couple issues. The reveal at the end shocked me in both it's simplicity and elegance. The way Duggan is pushing these two old rivals together felt unexpected and completely fresh. I don't know how I didn't see it coming, so kudos to the creative team.

I've been enjoying this title more and more lately. Its art is always consistently gorgeous, but now it's paying off enough of its foreshadowing to hold my interest. It's still no great shakes when it comes to characterization, but I'm liking the plot developments.

This was a step-up from the previous issue where we got the women of the group infiltrating Gameworld, plus the unmasking of Doctor Stasis at the end. I would have liked a bit more of the Gameworld stuff, as that was my favorite portion of the book. However, Scott’s fight with Stasis at the end was cool as well. Hopefully we get more developments with the ongoing plot in Issue 12, with this being a step in the right direction.

Fun to see the GALA suits show up. Duggan's X-MEN has been all GO BIG GO BIG GO BIG and 11 is no exception. While the series has been largely enjoyable, nearing close to some sort of end, the title still hasn't found its footing or identity among it's newer, more capable sister series.

So there's a space casino that isn't much well-kept of a secret that is strong enough to destroy worlds? But the only people in the galaxy that see that as a problem are the X-Men? And not even the space-focused mutants - I haven't kept up with New Mutants, but wasn't that how they started off? And with Sunspot? Just, not as much for me.
