Bad. Self-indulgent, cringe, still hate seeing the classic team as teachers. Still hate the younger mutants featured in this book. New character does nothing for me. Hope arc ends soon.

Very strong bounceback for Duggan.

I don't get the "10" ratings. A 10 is like instant classic, something we'll be talking about 10 years from now. Example, Hox/Pox. A 10 is not "vaguely enjoyable".

I thought this series had excellent early promise and there's some great creativity in the author's Otherworld, but this seemed all over the place.

I'm most disappointed by "Captain Britain will return." Why, ex actly? She's been the star of over 30 issues of Excalibur and Knights of X and since losing her Psylocke body isn't a very popular character. Other characters should be so lucky to get that type of editorial push.

This was kind of a meandering mess and honestly I'm good if Betsy stays in Otherworld behind the scenes for 5 years. Just sayin'. more

Good Lord, wasn't expecting much, but this is a dumpster fire. Everything was resolved in the most predictable way and wrapped up in a hurry. Terrible writing, awful antagonists. Just terrible.

Solid issue. Still not sure what trajectory this series is on though.

I like the deep pulls, but team continues to feel very hodgepodge. Cassandra Nova so doesn't belong here. Space adventures and the Shi'ar can keep me around, but this is slipping for me. Fast.

It's an OK start despite the occasional bump in the road. It's really an issue of defining where we are now, but that's forgivable since this is essentially the 7th issue of a series that would have just been a single ongoing back in the day and new readers have to be caught up on what happened in Way of X and Onslaught Revelation.

Still there's more problems than I'd expected: Spurrie r's Storm is wildly off-model, much as I love Forget-Me-Not this issue doesn't convince me that his one-note gimmick is workable for an ongoing, and the addition of the Juggernaut adds to the preexisting questions of how they decide which humans get to be exceptions in the Krakoan ethnostate (at least with Kyle you can say his husband is a mutant, but why Juggernaut? Is fighting the X-Men a qualifier for humans now too?).

Jan Bazaldua isn't quite on Bob Quinn's level, but she turns in some good solid work with excellent designs (notably Ora Serrata, but her redesign of Lost is great too)

There's some great, solid ideas here, but they don't quite come together into a premise yet; this issue is really just a bunch of random characters wandering about having their own largely unrelated plots. Hopefully things gel a little better as the series goes on, because despite my critiques, I am rooting for itmore

A mixed bag. Already we seem bogged down by author's pet characters: Blindfold, Lost, Forget-me-Not.

Some characters didn't sound like themselves:

"Get up, idiot. Or I'll stick a royal thunderbolt up your indigo ass." Storm has never spoken like this.

Some solid concepts though, I shall read on.

Oh this was good! Certainly the real star here is Pepe Larraz, who returns from his hiatus with some truly incredible work, but Duggan is also awake and engaged in a way he hasn't always been on this title. Heroes infiltrating an evil casino is an idea that's been done before and better - we're far from the epoch-making Hickman era here - but Duggan has fun with it and intertwines it well with the Cyclops/Stasis plot, and there's tons of quality lines here. Add in the return of Rogue's magnificent Hellfire Gala costume and an intriguing cliffhanger and you've got one of the best issues of this uneven run.more

Weird art, pretty hokey overall. With so many underserved X-men out of publication, I really don't give a crap about Somnus. The "Captain Kate Pryde" idea is wearing thin, feels like a phase (pun intended) that should have ended already.

I miss Kitty/Shadowcat, a plucky X-Man you want to root for. The posturing badass ahole thing is meh and tired.

Not very Sabretooth centric. With a lot of prominent mutants in publication limbo, I'm surprised we're seeing so much of Melter.
