Jul 10, 2025Joe Kelly continues to strike a solid balance between action and humour in this series, delivering some absolute zingers that feel true to Spider-Man's character. His dialogue crackles with energy, especially in the scenes featuring Spider-Man and Black Cat. It's genuinely fun to see the two of them working together againtheir chemistry is undeniable. There's clearly something brewing between them in this run, which feels like history repeating itself, considering their romantic past. Whether it's rekindled love or just flirtatious teamwork, Kelly keeps their dynamic engaging and fresh. Read Full Review

Jul 02, 2025This new run as been electric and continues that trend in ASM 7. Kelly and Romita are like Shaq and Kobe or Jordan and Pippen, they just effortlessly make it look easy and the final product is better for it. The big winners are the fans! Read Full Review

Jul 02, 2025The Amazing Spider-Man #7 kicks off its new arc with a strong mix of action, mystery, and character, introducing Hellgate as a worthy, if still enigmatic, addition to Spidey's rogues gallery. Joe Kelly's understanding of Peter's voice and moral compass shines, setting the stage for a promising and strange new adventure. Read Full Review

Jul 02, 2025The Amazing Spider-Man #7 is a strong showing for Kelly and Romita Jr., as they successfully introduce new threats and mysteries that promise to keep readers hooked. Despite the plot being primarily action-oriented and revealing little about Hellgate's motives, the sheer awesomeness of the dynamic battle and the intrigue it creates make this a thoroughly enjoyable read. It's a solid entry that sets an exciting tone for the series' future. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez
Jul 04, 2025Amazing Spider-Man #7 isn't at all perfect but there is a vibe that Joe Kelly and John Romita Jr. have a direction in mind for Peter Parker's world they are confident in. That is even with the idea of Spider-Man and Black Cat taking on a supernatural threat like Hellgate not necessarily being what you think you'll read when picking up Amazing Spider-Man. Jul 03, 2025The Amazing Spider-Man #7 is yet another stumble, filled with strong concepts that get tied up amongst themselves, slowing down the pace of a book that somehow still flies by in the blink of an eye. While not the worst tale to grace the pages of this title, it is disappointing with just how much potential is left on the kitchen table. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - Wakizashi Gray
Jul 03, 2025Amazing Spider-Man #7 is an action-packed issue that may appeal to Spidey fans who enjoy a good fight scene, but it hardly progresses the plot. We still don't know who or what Hellgate is, just that he's powerful and wants to form an alliance with Spider-Man. Why? I don't know. Maybe we'll find out next issue. The art is a mixed bag with some of the panels looking rushed or unfinished. This is no doubt due to Marvel's seemingly greedy policy of publishing two issues of ASM each month. Spider-Man fans deserve a better quality book than this. Read Full Review
