So while we don't know the individual sales numbers for any series, (and we likely never will) we do know that Spider-Man almost always tops the charts. There are a few exceptions when something big hits and usurps the placement for a little while but Spider-Man is almost always at or near the top. THAT'S why things don't change. Because it already sells as much as they need it to without adjusting the status quo away from what they want, which is: poor Peter Parker, no long term relationships.

Jul 29, 2025The issue continues what is, overall, a fun and engaging storybut it doesn't offer many answers just yet. We still don't know why Hellgate has challenged Spider-Man, beyond the vague influence of a mysterious voice that only he seems to hear. The identity and motives of the stranger who arrived in New York back in issue #1 remain a mystery as well. And then there's the wildcard: is Captain Kintsugi a genuine young hero in the making, or just a kid in over his head, as Spidey suspects? Read Full Review

Jul 23, 2025While some dents are buffed out of this arc by the developments withinThe Amazing Spider-Man #8, this story is still racing to put tracks in front of train as it barrels past them. Thematic developments, while greatly appreciated and conceptually strong, are potential squandered by the mess of pacing that led up to this issue's final moment. Read Full Review

Jul 23, 2025Amazing Spider-Man #8 swings big and lands hard. Sometimes in your gut, sometimes on the page. Half trauma, half lesson, with just enough wit to keep it lively, this issue isn't afraid to take its shots even if it leaves a bruise or two in the process. The story may be running in place by the end, but it's never dull. Read Full Review
