Honestly, this issue will do well in trade, but as a single-issue, it left a few things to be desired. But you have to give it to Nick Spencer because the way he finished the story; well, has made the next issue a must-buy to see how Spidey and Black Cat will get out of their latest jam. Story is going strong and I really enjoyed the spidey/cat parts. MJ sub plot was also pretty great, I hope we will get more of it. (Also, RIP Stan Lee)

Very strong issue. We finally get some more MJ, with an interesting subplot that delves into Peter and MJ's relationship. It's probably the highlight of the issue, even over a Spider-Man and Black Cat team up.

Really enjoyed this, there wasn't much superheroing going on but the story was still great. Spidey and Felicia's conflict was handled in a way I wasn't expecting, which i'm fine with. The rest of this arc looks really promising. MJ's story was really good too, looking forward to where that goes as well.

Top tier superhero title. The stories move in interesting and unexpected directions while keeping the characters true to themselves and the villain's plans are interesting. The art was really nice too, more like this please.

Great issue. Better than the last. Picked up those threads and ran with them. I like Spencer's stuff so far. He's handling those angles very well. Ramos and Bandini delivered the goods and fit well together.

After the cliffhanger from the last issue, i was expecting something else. But, even thought this issue took a different route, it was enjoyable to read, exciting, and intriguing. Peter parker was more passive in this issue as MJ and Black Cat were really the main focus of the story. Which is good, given that in this issue we are introduced to new characters and the identity of the Thieves Guild ! The art is good and enjoyable to examine as you read through panels. However, you do see a slight difference in art between the two artist. Nothing crazy noticeable unless someone is really paying attention. I'm really excited to see what the next issue brings.

Very good issue! We advance the story, know about our villain, art work is gorgeous, and we get a nice sub-plot that doesn't take away or ruin the book. Wasn't on board with Nick Spencer for 4/5 of the first story arc but as of now I am full throttle with this current story arc!

This is a pretty solid issue with some good homage moments and an interesting plot. I just really can't get into Ramos is art. I try so hard. Anyway its a good read with an interesting ending

The most interesting aspect of this issue was MJ and her discovery of a superhero support group. It's a shame the art is so lackluster.

I found this issue quite boring and is it just me or is Nick Spencer avoiding character interaction between Pete and MJ? We have had so little since they got back together, it is always how much they love one another or interrupted by another character. It makes it difficult to care that they have got back together.

THE GOOD: -I enjoyed both artists. The transition from one to the other was fairly smooth and both did a good job. I especially liked Ramos's flashback art. -This issue did a good job of exploring Black Cat and Spidey's relationship. I especially liked their banter. -Was I really expecting this issue not to have me laughing? I'll answer that for you: No. Did it live up to those expectations? Yes! -The lookups had a really cool effect with those pixelated faces. And it was an interesting story, it just kind of distracted from the main story. THE BAD: -I do kind of wish the Lookups were less of a distraction from the main story, but it felt like that. It was a cool element, but I wish the whole issue spent its time with Spider Man and Black Cat as that was an infinitely better story. -The Theives Guild kind of felt like an easy explanation for what was happening. Not a huge problem, just there could've been a better one. -It does feel a bit weird for Black Cat, a trained thief to reveal herself by talking to Peter. more
