Apr 03, 2024We've only seen glimpses of this new, strange world, but there is a lot more to discover along with the reader. I'm curious to see what other wardens and animals we meet. Read Full Review

Apr 03, 2024Johns' storytelling seems reinvigorated with the launch of Ghost Machine. None of the three titles he wrote this week were underwhelming, but Rook: Exodus really felt like the standout. If this creative team stays in place for two years, this has the potential to be one of the better dystopic comic book adventure titles in years. Read Full Review

Apr 12, 2024This book is a rich opening act to what is hopefully a long sci-fi epic. The art is gorgeous, the characters are intriguing, and while we dont know much about the actual world beyond its basics, I'm sure we are going to learn a lot more about Exodus in the coming issues. Out of the 3 books, Id probably have to rate this one first, then Geiger, and then Redcoat. Ghost Machine is off to a great start. Read Full Review

Apr 02, 2024If you like detailed art, this will be your favorite comic of the week. Rook: Exodus #1 is a compelling new sci-fi dystopian story that'll have your imagination running wild with its potential. You'll be invested enough to return for more, especially with the excellent art. It's as good as sci-fi action adventures get in many ways. Read Full Review

Apr 03, 2024The artwork is phenomenal. Fabok and Anderson have created a new world that feels relatable to our own with subtle changes that make in feel ever so unnatural. It's a thin line that they walk with grace. I believe Rook's solo debut was a resounding success, and this science fiction, Mad Max like story is the beginning of something extraordinary!
