Comics: The Gathering - Olivier Roth

eji's art throughout, is, as always, magnificent. He continually showcases his deft hand at digital drawing (if you've never seen him work, you can check him out on YouTube). He's still one of my favorites when it comes to facial expressions and having characters show their emotions. Throughout you can see both the passion that Dr. Quinzel has, but also how she is slowly descending into madness. The best page of the whole book, and what really feels like the best encapsulation of the character as a whole is the final page. I won't spoil what it is, but it's an image that will stick with me for a long time. Read Full Review

Dark Knight News - Kendra Hale

It's been a long time where I didn't just pick up a series for the character, but the writing and art alone. Stjepan eji has changed all that. Read Full Review

    Kabooooom - Matt Morrison

    Dec 18, 2019

This was a fantastic series from start to finish, that is sure to spark debate for sometime to come. With any luck it will be the first of many such stories we'll see from Stjepan Sejic. Read Full Review

Harleen really is a series for the ages, a magnum opus for Sejic, and a story that will be required-reading for future generations of comic book fans. Read Full Review

    Comic Watch - Nicholas Osborn

Harleen #3 is the ultimate cautionary tale of DC's most tragic couple. Is this the story that the character truly needed to be told right now? That's for the reader to decide. However, if we are going to retrace the traumatic and toxic origins of Harley and Joker's relationship, I believe this is the way to do it. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Jason A. Fleece

    Dec 21, 2019

Harleen #3 is a fascinating finale to an excellent character study. If theres one complaint about this book, its that we get precious few moments exploring Harleys relationship with Poison Ivy. Hopefully, eji is interested in a sequel... Read Full Review

Forces Of Geek - Lenny Schwartz

The rest of the book is really just Harley and the Joker becoming closer and closer. I won't spoil the ending but it is very well done. Sejic has created one hell of a book that will really pass the test of time. The writing and the art are tops. You can't ask for more than that. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - Lizzy Garcia

    Dec 18, 2019

Harleen #3finally tips the scales and moves the series forward. Harleen's descent into madness was always guaranteed, but this issue has taken her gentle stumble into a cliff dive. My only concern with the series is its glorification of Harley and Joker's relationship. However, I can't deny that the series is fascinating and this issue is excellent. Read Full Review

    Batman-News - Casper Rudolph

    Dec 18, 2019

The characters are complex, the art is gorgeous and detailed, and the story is a twisted romance and a slasher horror all at once. If you're looking for a great Harley Quinn story that's much more grounded, serious and grim than most other stories with the character, then look no further. This is a great example of the kind of sophisticated storytelling that can be applied to Harley, and this is something that I feel the character deserves. Read Full Review

A thought-provoking and extremely solid issue, this was an intriguing and somewhat different spin on the inception of the Harley-Joker relationship. Read Full Review

    Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield

    Dec 18, 2019

Harleen #3, Stepan Sejic's final chapter in the evolution of Harley Quinn is a dark, disturbing dive into madness that shows us the origins of not one but two DC villains. It's a jarring read because it is so different than any Harley comic we've seen recently. Read Full Review

    Weird Science - Jim Werner

    Dec 18, 2019

Upon my first read through, the break out scene was enough to really invest me in the issue. However, when I read it again I noticed that it was not enough to keep my in the air. There were a lot of plot holes and many things never fully explored. Read Full Review
