It's not groundbreaking, nor does it add anything major, or have intriguing developments. But it's an amazing read and I had a good feeling after reading this.

A wonderful conclusion to an incredibly good story that got better as it went along, particularly in the second half of the series. Waid struck a perfect balance between the action and costumed theatrics, the character development and relationship building, and the villains’ plotting and scheming. The combination of Two Face and Clayface was a clever pairing. Lots of clever twists right up through the end. The art was gorgeous. Please get YEAR TWO underway in 2026! This is probably Waid’s best work since his return to DC (even better than the early WORLD’S FINEST issues).

I thought I submitted this review, but honestly this is a modern classic that I will enjoy re-reading over and appreciating everything. Maybe this series got cancelled because the sales, but a hot take is that I prefer this over Batman/Superman: World's Finest. I don't mean to trash another series to highlight another series, but I just like this series because of the consistent art, coloring, and writing for Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson.

A good ending for an overall great run. Parts of the plot felt rushed but other than that, excellent writing and amazing art. samnee is a beast!

Agreed. This was one of the more entertaining reads from DC in a while. But there were certain plot points that lingered a bit long, while other parts felt they could have used a bit more breathing room. This ending felt like it needed to play catch-up a bit too quickly.

Overall, this was a decent conclusion of the series. Some of the plot points throughout felt like a needless retread of Robin year one. But overall, I’m looking forward to getting this in collected hardcover. The writing for this series has been decent. But it was the artwork that really made the series shine. This and Batman Dark Patterns have been the best series to come out from DC comics in a long time. But I strongly feel that dark patterns is definitely the better of the two. The series was good. But the art is really what carried it.

I fell like this and dark patterns are criminally underrated. DP in particular is my kind of Batman story. It fells like an excellent Batman run from the early 2000.

I could not agree more! I'm waiting until Dark Patterns #12 releases, so I can put the full series in with my collection of Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight (1989) singles. It truly feels at home that series of "early carrer" Batman stories.
