I created an account just to write this review. I'm so tired of John Romita Jr. ruining my favorite characters. It's like he's drawing with a rule, every lines are straight, these square face are so ugly and it's not like he was putting details, it looks cheap. I don't understand the rave reviews. This is a truly mid-level comic, with artwork that doesn't really do justice to the Silver Surfer, new characters that aren't very compelling, and a storyline that's all over the place, lacking any real grounding. Silver Surfer is one of the most interesting but also one of the hardest characters to write. If you're making a comic called "The Death of Silver Su I don't understand the rave reviews. Being a gay man, this should speak to me. It doesn't, because it looks like crap and reeks of indoctrination. Really, I'm expected to buy this poorly assembled bullshit just because I'm homosexual? It may come as a surprise to you, Marvel, but your actual gay and lesbian readers, like any other reader, just want to read a great comic, but you're not giving us great comics anymore.

Bad art with beyond boring "stories" with no action for 99% of the book. Queer people might actually like to see SOME fighting instead of feeling in their SUPER HERO comics once in a while. Also, I thought Tim Sheridan was all but hurt over DC not supporting his Gay Lantern book and was done with them. I guess not....unfortunately.
