This is a straight-up awesome comic. It hooked me from the first panel and I don't think I breathed until I finished the book. And the art was just as good. Chip Zdarsky knocks it out of the park again as Daredevil #22 shows why this series is one of the best comic books on the market. The narrative around Daredevil being placed on trial is given the weight it should have. Chip Zdarsky and Francesco Mobili give Daredevil fans a setup issue, and while some may need a breather after all the crazy shit that's gone on in this book recently, it's not “must-read” material. Courtroom drama, discussion of land buys, and a visit to church are each sequences packed with drama, and that's what makes Daredevil a much more compelling superhero comic than most other series, even when nobody throws a punch. Read Full Review

The guest appearances are well done because they add a layer of drama or intrigue to the story, and not simply used for the surprise factor. Zdarsky hit us with another nice little cliffhanger this issue and I personally don't know much about this character so I'm excited to find out more. Chip Zdarsky really wants comic book fans to know that he's pouring his all into Daredevil and the quality shows each and every issue. Good to great artwork backs up his talented writing and having an admirable hero with Daredevil's level of grit and persona bodes well for Chip. Read Full Review

As Matt prepares for his trial, he uses the time he has left to do some good as Daredevil. His plan with Iron Man and the entire interaction between them was a highlight in this issue. Nice to see Matt doing everything he can with the time he has left.

Continues to hit all the right beats. Setting up just more fun and more epic stuff to look forward to. I know there are going to be a lot of complaints about Daredevil going to jail and how we have seen that before, but to me it feels different enough to warrant a lot of interest. Art remains impeccable, still one of the strongest titles not just from Marvel, but both the big 2.

Great drama, plenty of good threads to go around but the best one was the chat with Tony. Zdarsky just keeps building. Mobili, Olazaba and Iacono did a great job too on art.

The court case against Daredevil takes shape. Rather than prepare for that, Matt's setting his vigilante affairs in order. Fisk gets a few pages, too; his plotlines are slow, but they're still interesting. The scripting on this book remains fantastic and Francesco Mobili delivers some worthy, highly-detailed art.

Overall pretty solid. Wilson is easily the most interesting part of the series lately as I’m not starting to care for the Daredevil on trial stuff. Like another commenter said it’s pretty weird that the judge couldn’t think of a reason for DD to not be let out on bail

Another good issue, except the part about Daredevil being granted parole because they can't think of a reason to deny it? How about he might go back out on patrol and kill somebody else? Or - being a "masked man" - just decide to fade into the woodwork. Plot weaknesses like this in an otherwise strong series irritate me.

Th issue where nothing happened but everything was happening. Lots of moving parts that all have potential. Definitely hope daredevil gets a suit from Tony at least for a little. Definitely a good issue but more setting up than getting to the goods.

I'm still not happy about Matt going to jail again. The "Iron Devil" idea is just...no. Just no. On the positive side of things it's nice to see Typhoid Mary still hanging around and I'm still interested in seeing how Fisk handles things with the Stromwyn siblings.
