•  Matt Murdock, A.K.A. DAREDEVIL, has been putting his life back together after the monumental first year of Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto's run - but the criminals of Hell's Kitchen aren't inclined to give him any more time to heal.

    AIPT - Christopher Franey

    Oct 21, 2020

The drama continues in Daredevil #23, but now the major storyline intersects with events from the Annual and this is going to make for one hell of a ride! The character conversations are amazing and Matt Murdock really gets called out, but that's what true friends do. Beautiful art from this team and a bonus with Spidey making an appearance too! Comics: The Gathering - Charles Martin

    Oct 21, 2020

Daredevil makes the most of his last pre-trial days in Daredevil #23. He has a legal team to assemble and villains to intimidate. This is not a beginning or an ending; it is a middle chapter. But thanks to absolute brilliance from every member of the creative team, it is possibly a perfect middle chapter. Read Full Review

On Comics Ground - Brian Daley

Still one of Marvel's strongest books right now. I can't sing Marco Checchetto's praises enough because his artwork is just so good! I'm interested in where this is going, Izzy is effectively the new Kingpin, Spidey and Daredevil are friends again, Kirsten is back in the supporting cast, and of course, the events of the Annual are paying off, with Mike Murdock returning to pose as his twin for the trial! It's all coming together to be something interesting. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - Weird Science Jim

Daredevil is probably going to jail, and while I can't wait for the trial to begin, Chip Zdarsky is making the lead-up to it a "must-read." Add Marco Checchetto's stellar art, and I don't know why everyone isn't reading this book. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - William Tucker

    Oct 21, 2020

Daredevil #23 is an edition that fans of the character will adore. The Man Without Fear has moments within this comic that will make the audience smile, frown, and sob. The art and colours continue to be hauntingly beautiful and fit the book perfectly. Zdarsky is a master of dialogue, which is extremely prevalent here. As we get closer to the trial, it is clear an emotional rollercoaster may be on its way, and Im not sure Im prepared. Read Full Review

Real world consequences make for a much more interesting story for the Guardian Devil than the suspension of disbelief. Read Full Review
