Still one of Marvel's strongest books right now. I can't sing Marco Checchetto's praises enough because his artwork is just so good! I'm interested in where this is going, Izzy is effectively the new Kingpin, Spidey and Daredevil are friends again, Kirsten is back in the supporting cast, and of course, the events of the Annual are paying off, with Mike Murdock returning to pose as his twin for the trial! Daredevil #23 is an edition that fans of the character will adore. The Man Without Fear has moments within this comic that will make the audience smile, frown, and sob. The art and colours continue to be hauntingly beautiful and fit the book perfectly. Zdarsky is a master of dialogue, which is extremely prevalent here. As we get closer to the trial, it is clear an emotional rollercoaster may be on its way, and Im not sure Im prepared. Read Full Review

HE DOESN'T MISS Zdarsky continues with just another hit. Setting up so much awesome stuff for the future. Seeing Mike (at least I believe that's Mike, it's the only way that makes sense) at the end was such a cool twist. A new Kingpin and another epic story are teased as well. Despite it being a grounded book, Zdarsky manages to tell a complex and interesting narrative. Daredevil continues to be one of the best books on sale.

Really gorgeous pages from Checchetto. The way he draws Daredevil, Elektra, Spider-man and the city of New York looks so good. Him and Zdarsky are the perfect creative team for Daredevil.

Another perfect issue for Zdarsky. Everytime there is a DD-Spidey interaction the dialogue is completely elevated and this issue is its highest point so far. Art is fantastic as is the usual case with Checchetto. The twist was not something I expected either

If they made Checchetto the regular artist on Amazing Spider Man one day I’d have no doubt hed go down as one of the greats. Great character work here. Love the ending with Mike’s return

Everything about this issue was absolute perfection! The conversation with Foggy, Elektra and then Spider-Man (especially with Spider-Man. What a GOATED moment that was) was everything I ever wanted from this book. This is my favourite issue in this series so far and probably one of my all time favourites ever. Chip Zdarsky you are a master.

Matt continues tying off his loose Daredevil threads before his trial. He intimidates the top-level gangsters, then has an AMAZING rapprochement with Spider-Man. The script is close to perfect; the art is even closer. And all this great storytelling is employed in the service of a brilliant story -- it rarely gets better than this.

Checchetto's art is great as usual and Matt's team-up with Spidey was cool. Despite my recent complaints about Matt going to jail again, this issue has made me excited to see where this goes. It's just frustrating how inconsistent these last few issues have been. I really hope Zdarsky can pull it together and make this run consistently great again.

Enjoyed it. Not an punch thrown and yet still exciting to see all these interactions. Not a punch but Hammer did get his head hammered for those who want blood too. Not a punch but there was that marvelous swinging - with DD flying over the street. Nice art and evocative hug of Spidey, too.

Great work! Very nourishing issue. All gears are moving now and I like it a lot! Zdarsky somehow is really good at this. Chechetto's work is outstanding and he seems to have changed his art a bit too. The edges are tight and hazy at the same time, it's amazing. The body language and the angles are wonderful. Menyz's colors were very complementary to the mood changes.
