Pick it up if you're enjoying Blood Hunt and want to see the heroes face even greater challenges. If you prefer a more optimistic superhero story, you might want to skip this series. An Avenger takes the spotlight by force with a turning point felt around the MCU. MacKay pens a balanced issue while the latter half elevates the chapter. Larraz, Gracia and Petit constrict the highly emotional reactions to Marvels bloody event with ease. The saga leaves with another big moment to exemplify why this is no ordinary story. Blood Hunt #3 is a solid issue with an epic ending that feels familiar but grand at the same time. What's been interesting is that while the event is on a planetary scale, it still feels small and focused. It's very smart in a lot of ways keeping the distractions to the tie-ins and mini-series that have spun out to it. Blood Hunt #3 does little to progress the story and even less in terms of explanation and excitement. Yet another cliffhanger falls flat and Sam Wilson's Independence Day speech was more cringe that inspirational. The event so far has been uninspired and while I hope Jed MacKay can turn that around in the final issues, I don't have my hopes up. Plot Miles Morales discovers that he is a vampire and attacks Tygra, Hunter's Moon, Doctor Strange, Clea, Captain America, Vision, Captain Marvel, Iron Man, Bloodline and Dracula in the Sanctum Sanctorum, Doctor Strange and Clea regain their sanity, that's when Miles discovers that he was bitten by Blade. Black Panther turned into a vampire and controlled by Blade is in the caves of Wakanda looking for a weapon that connects Wakanda with Atlantis. Dracula reveals that Bloodline, Blade's daughter, is her weakness and she escapes from her because she wants to face her father, Miles and Dracula go looking for her. The Midnight Mission consisting of Hunter's Moon and Tygra leave for an unknown location transported by Clea's magic. Visi on tells Captain Marvel that the Avengers cannot wait for Doctor Strange's plan to return the Dark Force, so Iron Man makes a global broadcast on all media where Sam Wilson offers them a speech as Captain America so they know that The Avengers are still standing, this speech is the same as the one he and Black Panther said to the Impossible City, this is like a message from Sam to T'Challa. An enraged Blade throws his mysterious weapon that T'challa got him. The stakes rise with every second as the world is turned into a hell of eternal night filled with vampires. Art It is full of textures that increase dynamism and offer a gloomy tone perfect for this crossover that mixes horror and superheroes. Summary The Avengers, Doctor Strange and Midnight Mission split up several missions to stop Blade. There are many revelations in this chapter and it is a race against time as Blade has an overwhelming advantage. more

This is a good event comic. it uses its tie-ins well, while also balancing them all, it's easy to read, with each issue being clearly and neatly constructed, and it has great and well-communicated vibes, but Pepe Larraz elevates everything about it to infinity. Even when so much of it, is static, he still manages to make it shine in different ways and create moments that I feel will be imprinted into my memory. What more does an event need really?

Another pretty good issue. Again, I read the Red Band Edition. There wasn't much difference between this and the Standard Edition, but it's still kinda cool. Anyways, yeah, this was good. Some of the dialogue is a little wonky, but this is still nice middle issue for the heroes to rally before the conclusion. Sam's speech was really good, also, and I appreciated that it called back to MacKay's current Avengers series.

Sam Wilson's speech is the reason why he's a worthy successor to the Captain America mantle. I also really like hte art, but the story and pacing is a bit iffy.

This event sucks. I don't like Blade as the big bad. Thor was already the most powerful character in the whole marvel universe. Now he has the Odinforce(I guess Thorforce now) but is still hanging out with the Avengers is stupid enough as is. Now he is getting beat by a bunch of vampires. Odin was on the level of Phoenix, Galactus, etc, yet he is somehow seemingly less powerful than he was doesn't make sense to me and it is really killing the story for me. Sam Wilson's speech was way too corny. The whole team got their asses handed to them, but last issue they decide to win because they are the Avengers and that's what they do. Trash. I'm done with this event. I give it a 2.5 because the art is good.
