When it comes to the resolutions for Spider-Man, Boomerang, and Wilson Fisk arcs we get in Nick Spencer is very successful in the story he presents in Giant-Size Amazing Spider-Man: King's Ransom #1. There is a lot accomplished that creates even greater potential for future stories down the line. Unfortunately there are choices made with other characters that are just frustrating. Spencer really needs to find a Striking a better balance with how many plotlines are juggled in one story. Wow, there’s a lot of payoff here, numerous plot threads come satisfyingly to a close while another big one is set up. Gotta say that I thoroughly enjoyed this one more than I have any other new comic for a while. Well worth the time and money spent though it really isn’t a jumping on point so much as a ride for regular readers.

Resolution to the Boomerang storyline that’s been going from the start, the conclusion of the tablet of life runaround that’s been going on for as long. Yeah, some resolution leads to future set-up but I felt all of that was great payoff and left me satisfied and yet eager for what’s next.

I was really enjoying this and then around halfway through the twist came and it went to another level. I absolutely love that they're building off of what happened in daredevil volume 2 as well it is one of my all-time favorite runs.

I liked this a lot. I don't think Boomerang's story is actually over, but I liked that he was able to pull another Superior Foes, this time on the readers. They just happen to not take it as well when it's happened to them. I'm not sure if the Rose is a villain that excites... anyone, but I think it will go somewhere cool.

OK. Some payoff with a classic Boomerang moment that was long coming but overall it needed me to have had read Daredevil Vol2 to get a better idea of the weight of what just happened. I never read Daredevil because I never cared for the character until Zdarsky wrote it. Good for Daredevil fans but for me it's a meh?? It also needed better art to help the story with sharper art. I don't know why people don't understand that comic books are a visual medium and without proper visuals to enhance the story then I might as well read a book where my imagination can do better.

I didn't even know Richard Fisk was dead. Though he should have returned in the form of the Schemer. That would have been a little more interesting since that was his first disguise. Though I'm a little disappointed this is all Kingpin wanted the tablet for, especially when i figured it was in some plan to obtain immortality. King's ransom was okay. I've read better, but also way worse. I have to give this book credit for realism. If people were really allowed to control machines like that they would indeed turn on each other forgetting this was no online game. As for Boomerang, I'm sure we'll see more of him over time. Spencer has given more character to him than I've ever seen before.

You know, for a story that said it would change the status quo, it really didnt. Also, the art is pretty bland and the dialogue and characters fall flat for me. Which is a shame since I really enjoyed Sins Rising.
