The writing has wit, the art is astounding, but the book is too short. American comics often have this problem of releasing in twenty-page snippets as where a volume of manga gets you a hefty hundred or so pages. Very few floppies contain a satisfying self-contained narrative, and A Man Among Ye #6 is no exception; what's here is promising, but waiting for the collected volume with more high seas goodness might be the way to go here.

This is a Spider-Man story that's very easy on the eyes but lacks deeper depth.

As a massive fan of Batman, I don't want to end this review on a downer, so here's a list of great Batman content that's actually are worth your time.

Batman: Reptilian is a mix of style and substance, creating one of the best stories I've seen come out of DC since A Serious House On Serious Earth.

A great read for Bat-fans who just can't get enough of Gotham and the characters it spawned.

It's at this point my brain checked out of the story wishing they'd return focus to Faith and her decision presented to her by the vampire god on the verge of conquering reality. While there's a small action scene where Faith rejoins the main cast, I'm still confused about what's going on with these multiverse shenanigans.

Skip this and read volume one instead.

It's a pretty looking issue with a fun concept, but it's wasted being quickly walked back, only serving to give Carnage a power boost and tie into the next part of the narrative; overall, it's a weak story that is well written but not given enough time for its ideas to breath.

A Hopeful detective is operating in a cold and dark noir setting; a fun twist on an old genre.

The Flash is one of those characters whose power-set is just built to explore the time travel trope and the comic concept of the multiverse. Here it's put to great effect. This story with many complex concepts and moving parts are presented as this stunningly simple adventure; that can be enjoyed stand-alone or as part of the greater whole.

The Flash #10 is nothing more than a prelude to bigger things to come. Good dialogue and art, but only recommended once it's collected as part of the Absolute Power storyline in a trade paperback.

It's a refreshing new series draped in the atomic doomsday tropes we've all come to love from fiction like this.

The plot itself, while there, is paper thin, much like the floppy it's printed in. Once again, the biweekly floppy is the kryptonite of pacing and story structure, making diving in at random points unfriendly to newer readers who are drawn in by the otherwise wonderful and ambitious crossover work on display here echoed throughout the pages and various variant covers.

Grim # 17 has some nice art and solid dialogue, but it doesn't save this issue from pacing problems.

If you want a compelling current coming of age story of a teenage hero stuck in the shadow of their successful parent, go check out Invincible streaming on Amazon Prime.

The short but emotional journey James Bond: Agent of Spectre #3 takes you on is a nice piece of the puzzle of the larger mystery to come. Writer Christos Gage's script was my favourite part of his story pulling this entry together into an entraining package.

Once again, the team behind Agent Of Spectre captures that classic Bond feeling that makes this book seem like it jumped right off the silver screen and onto the page.

While this is a compelling standalone, the issue could have pushed its story a little further at the cost of a short gag comic.

Life Is Strange: Coming Home captures the look and feel of the games with some noteworthy variant covers that look like they belong on the front of a PlayStation game case.

Life Is Strange Is a memorable series, but Forget Me Not needs to tell you to remember it because of its stale story.

Miles Morales Spider-Man Annual #1 (Infinite Destinies) is what I'd call a very run of the mill comic book story. There's a bad guy, a backstory, and at some point, the heroes punch the villain to save the day. That's sadly all this book is, as the majority of what you get in these thirty-five pages is awkward at best and inoffensive at least.

At this book's core, there's a mystery, fun characters and a cool concept.

"This one feels like it's building to something, but you should read the prior issues first."

A decent building block for the next major part of the story with a lackluster presentation.

The Sonic 30th Anniversary Special is a pretty poor party.

It's black Suit Spider-Man, dinosaurs and grotesque monster doing battle; what more do you need?

To this book's credit, the art is really nice, lovely even the artist on this should be very proud of their work; it's the only thing remotely worthwhile in this title. I would seldom suggest destroying a comic book, but cutting this comic up to use as a poster seems like a better use of its great art than carrying the lousy narrative.

I'm not going to waste any more of my word count complaining about the weakness of the format, but if you like The Witcher, consider buying this series when it releases a volume that collects all the issues into one complete story.

Overall the book ends on a chilling note and still feels very on point with the writing and tone. I feel this more stylized art can work for static scenes, but it leaves a lot to be desired during the action.

The Worst Dudes is far from the worst comic I've read. Once you get past the shock value, the crazy characters and the whacky world starts to grow on you.

f you've been looking for a well-written fresh take on the Transformers, Energon Universe is great, and it's just getting started.

If you want a wicked remixed look at Alice In Wonderland, keep an eye on this story as it develops.
