I'm rating it a good comic even though I'm fully aware it's pandering to me with surgical precision. Like, Doug was designed in a damn lab to be a breakout character and I love him and I hate how obviously I've been manipulated into loving him.
The humor is excellent in my highly subjective view. And I was pleasantly surprised by how well the huge art team worked. It wasn't a seamless collaboration, but a set of distinct styles which complemented each other.
The B strip does a good job of making me almost want a new volume of Nextwave written by Jed MacKay. "Almost want" in the sense of "probably nobody should do that, but if not nobody, him."
(Also Monica's "be unlikable" soliloquy is a masterpiece of progressive soapboxing. It's
fully intersectional, not sticking to any one demographic box, instead focusing on what really matters: Recognizing and resisting injustice and the abuse of power.)

I didn't dislike this issue the way it seems like a lot of people here did. I just don't care enough, I guess. Not even in a negative way. I see this issue as wrapping things up, while providing some pretense for future stories. Either you care or you don't. I am a Nextwave fan, so the Nextwave reunion was neat. The Doug scene I found powerfully unfunny. The villain epilogues do actually intrigue me, especially Queen Goblin's, so I hope those are followed up on. The Slingers section looks like it'll bring the Slingers into issue 93 in a minor role, which is something, I guess. I saw this issue as a wrap up issue, and I can't say I'm surprised by its contents. Maybe I pay way too much attention to what's coming out, and that's why I find mys
elf kind of shrugging my shoulders over this. If I had gone into it blind, maybe I'd be more upset about it? But as far as I'm concerned, it's basically the comics equivalent of standing across the room from a slow moving steam roller, and then being surprised when it finally crushes you. more

I'm giving this a 7/10 ONLY for that Doug story. The rest... Meh.

I can't say I didn't like it. I thought it was entertaining and I wasn't bored.

This one's a bizarre hodgepodge of things that have nothing in common except that they're all happening at Beyond: first, #92's cliffhanger with the Daughters of the Dragon and Morbius is resolved in just 3 pages, then Monica Rambeau & Aaron Stack in a Nextwave homage that's OK but not as good as one would hope Jed McKay doing Nextwave would be, then inept Beyond employee Doug in a scene that actually IS funny enough to be something out of Nextwave, then a couple pages of the Slingers, then a couple pages of Queen Goblin, and finally, a one-page followup with Morbius. None of the scenes have anything to do with one another, and nothing really sticks around long enough to mean anything.
I can't help but wonder if this was meant to be 3-5
.BEY issues originally and then got all shoved into one. As it is, it's a mess. more

Yeah, I really didn't care about any of these stories but the Doug one. He's the man. Stories did get wrapped up that were left open throughout the run but they weren't stories that I particularly cared for and considering this is technically the penultimate issue of the Beyond run, I am left disappointed and wanting. I will give this one more compliment however. The epilogues are fun and I definitely want to see more Goblin Queen.

Beyond once again showcases it really doesn't grasp what kind of scope it wants to have. Is Beyond a bigger event with multiple characters, or is it focused on Ben Reilly once again being Spider-Man?
And this is why this one is not very good for me. It's a collection of side-stories that finish any storyline that felt was dropped the issue it was introduced. And none of them really interest me. Queen Goblin for sure and the Daughters of the Dragon somehway. Everything else? I just didn't care.
So I don't think this was important. Or necessary to read. Writers seemed to have fun but I didn't.
And why was Monica here? It felt like she had a big connection to Beyond but I had no idea what it was. And she also felt very out-of-place. L
ike the Slingers. more

Nothing is here interesting enough to warrant this book 92.bey existing. A waste of $5.

Oh hey, look at what we have here, rushed conclusions to multiple storylines of Beyond, who would have guessed....the Daughters of the Dragon and Morbius pairing went just like i expected, underwhelming. Monica Rambeau attack against Beyond is okay, but this only had like one tease in 78.BEY so it feels very misplaced with the current events. Then we have Doug being Doug, which means it's entertaining, the Slingers doing an cameo(again), a great Queen Goblin Tease and another Morbius epilogue.
This gives ending to things that supposedly are important but most of them don't feel so necessary to the overall story, let's just hope that Wells and Gleason can stick the landing.

Very mediocre writing here, the plots dull enough but the script was very unengaging

Jumped on ASM just for my boy B Riley. Prolly gonna leave after that.
Others have said it better than me, but it just doesn't exist. They introduced 2 potentially intriguing characters with Queen Goblin and Grey Dragon Healy Man.
But both of those concepts, amongst a majority of the others, we're way too short lived and this surface-feeling.
I'm out 93.
