Kinda boring, like the first series. I'm all for build-up, and world-building but let me at least see the man...
Im definitely dropping, it isn't bad, just isn't for me. I read Batman for Batman.
Batman '89: Echoes #1
YOU WANNA GET NUTS? LET'S GET NUTS! After Harvey Dent's crusade against Gotham and Batman, the Caped Crusader has disappeared without a trace. In his place, ordinary citizens have taken to the streets to root out crime. As innocents get hurt, the question on everyone's mind is the same: Where is Batman? Sam Hamm, screenwriter of the 1989 Batman mov...
Idk how. But I went into this issue not privy to the fact that it is the last issue of this run. When I got to the final page, I audibly decried the discovery. Not because this book or any of its previous issues did not satisfy me, but because that means for now I can no longer look forward to picking up this book off the shelf every month and let me tell you that SUCKS.
This has been

Black Widow #15
THE BLOODY CONCLUSION TO "DIE BY THE BLADE"!
Guns. Explosives. Widow's bites. Good old-fashioned hand-to-hand. Natasha Romanoff is an expert in just about every form of combat known to humankind...and it's not enough. The Living Blade will not let his query escape this time. San Francisco's golden gates slam shut for the superspy as Kelly Thomp...
This was dumb. "Look at how shocking and smart I am!". Hard pass.
W0rldtr33 #1
In 1999, Gabriel and his friends discovered the Undernet, a secret architecture to the Internet. They charted their exploration on a message board called W0RLDTR33.
Then they lost control. Someone broke into W0RLDTR33-someone who welcomed the violent hold the Undernet had on them. At great personal cost, Gabriel and the others thought they seal...
American Jesus: Revelation #2
Christ returns and walks the Earth, passing judgment on every man, woman, and child. He'll take on Wall Street and the Vatican on this journey towards the final confrontation between Good and Ultimate Evil in the deserts of Megiddo, where the Book of Revelation said the final battle would take place.
I'll say it out loud. Dud of an ending.
I rate this issue just under middle of the road here, only because the story was not willing to commit to any direction of an ending with actual weight.
Watching the art unfold, as a literal pop culture relic of time over the years, yet a great reflection of the current times set's this story of two polar projects up perfectly.

American Jesus: Revelation #3
MINISERIES FINALE
Christ faces the Antichrist himself-the president of the United States-when a 2000-year-old prophecy is finally fulfilled. The third and final volume in the MILLAR/GROSS trilogy comes to a close here. This will be a massive Netflix series in the spring, so order high!
There are so many names. Literally every other bubble is another character and I'm beyond confused.
I want this to work, but with the art being pretty run-of-the-mill and wayyyy more exposition/dialogue then any remnant of action..?
This might be a pass.
Gargoyles #2
Dynamite's all-new ongoing series, in continuity with the epic Gargoyles television series continues!
The Gargoyles have awakened from their stone sleep - but will it be in time to save Maggie the Cat and her unborn mutate child from Thailog and Sevarius? Plus, don't miss the return of Dominic Dracon!
I thought it was a wonderfully written for the most part. It just felt like a real story. The real life stuff being so good made the twist hard to swallow for me as I felt the book would have done fine being grounded.
It's Only Teenage Wasteland #1
When his parents go out of town for the weekend, Mexican-American high schooler Javi decides to throw a party-one that'll launch him and his buds into popularity! Or at least get them noticed by some girls. But when things take a turn for the worse, Javi and his friends are thrust into a situation and future they could have never possibly prepared ...
110% agree with you, I got super invested in their friend group, how they interloper with other groups, and even the antagonist group and their origin was very believable.
Glad I picked this one up.
I'm not the biggest fan of teenage based stories, but this hits a soft spot that has very relatable moments for most adolescent experience.
The time and masterful effort they took to set-up the plot amongst the "wasteland" element of this story would have been amazing in "What's the Furthest Place From Here", as well with that loveable cast.

Good God this is horrible.
I'm a very optimistic person, and I try to find the value in all works but... this is just confusing as hell. What is this?
X-Men: Legends #2
WOLVERINE...VERSUS THE X-MEN?!
Department H has sent their operative WEAPON X, A.K.A. WOLVERINE, on a mission to retrieve "dangerous individuals" - who just so happen to be mutants known as the X-MEN!
But what sinister forces are moving the mutants against each other, and how does it play into Wolverine's eventual membership on the team...
Loved it.
It wasn't as hot of a start as Punisher or Ghost Rider 1. Especially how Ghost Rider had classic horror elements...
...But much like the movie's, this comic has a charm that is befitting of their symbiotic relationship.
I love how the writer tells the backstory through Brocks' Genuine concern for the symbiote.
Definitely looking forward to t

Venom: Lethal Protector #1
AN EPIC RETURN!
Before Carnage and space gods, clones and toxins, and the revelation that he was a father, Eddie Brock was a down-on-his-luck reporter who had tried to take his own life and been saved by an extraterrestrial alien. This all-new story set in the character's earliest days welcomes Venom co-creator DAVID MICHELINIE back into t...
I just finished "Carnage Forever" last week, and was surprised to see this new run start.
Where this issue doesn't have the same gripping fear element Forever had, the premise is pretty innovative for a Marvel Character with this much lore.
I'm definitely excited for this run!
Carnage #1
Look for more information on this title in future issues of Marvel Previews.
Jumped on ASM just for my boy B Riley. Prolly gonna leave after that.
Others have said it better than me, but it just doesn't exist. They introduced 2 potentially intriguing characters with Queen Goblin and Grey Dragon Healy Man.
But both of those concepts, amongst a majority of the others, we're way too short lived and this surface-feeling.
I'm out 93.
Amazing Spider-Man #92.BEY
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LIZARD?! And what could he (or more accurately, it, after recent ASM events) possibly have to do with what has been battering Ben Reilly around?
Only one issue to go, so you know, BIG STUFF IS HAPPENING HERE!!!
RATED T+
I'm normally long winded in my reviews but here ill keep it short and sweet. Nice house is finally back and it didn't miss a beat. Its perfect. Go read it and fall in love like the rest of us. This is a classic unfolding before our eyes.
The Nice House on the Lake #7
One of the most critically acclaimed and bestselling horror titles of 2021 returns for its shocking second act-and now is the perfect time to enter the house! The 10 hardy survivors gathered in the house by their mutual friend Walter thought they'd finally cracked the code on his plans...and now everything they thought they knew has literally chang...
Yeah, I thought this was a slog. Everything is overwritten for no good reason. I was bored most of the time reading this. The real hook for the story comes at the very end of this first issue, and it's not even that clear if it's worth the trouble. I hope next issue delivers on this supposedly being an "epic, white-knucled, action-packed tale" because that's not what I'd call this issue. David Mar more
Batman: Killing Time #1
"Three villains, one Dark Knight, and a deadly heist gone wrong.
Catwoman, the Riddler, and the Penguin join forces to pull off the greatest robbery in the history of Gotham City. And their prize? A mysterious and priceless artifact in the secret possession of Bruce Wayne! But, as the events unfold, what fun is a heist without a bloody doub...
I was wondering why Pichelli's art has felt a bit off. Good still, but not as good as it was on Bendis' Miles Morales run. After checking out what else Ponsor was the colorist on, I didn't even realize that he had been the colorist on most of Peter's and Miles' Ultimate Spidey run. What a talent. I guess this showcases how little I appreciate the colorists...
Feels like there are now 3 things we can guarantee in life... death, taxes, and yet another bat man mini series. Thanks for writing this up, looks like I can avoid more Batman fatigue.
Still digging this series so far!
The protagonist's skill set was established in the initial issue, so his expertise being called on makes sense.
This has a Road to Eldorado, meets Full Metal Jacket feel to it. Maybe mix in a little Predator.
Apache Delivery Service #2
Matt Kindt! Tyler Jenkins! As Ernie and Sobrat journey deeper into the jungles of Vietnam searching for clues to a missing treasure trove of gold, they find themselves caught in-between a vicious firefight between both armies and also uncover a trail of mutilated corpses left by a mysterious killer hiding in the woods.
This is definitely a set-up issue, so looking for a massive pay off or conclusion this early on, will only lead to disappointment.
Admittedly, with a soft spot for War comics like Out of The Blue, and The other Side, the flaws of the issue are given a blinded eye.
Nevertheless the outcast going on their own, but mastering the environment as it's familiar Tony is upbringing is

A jungle horror story by Matt Kindt (Ether, Mind MGMT) and Tyler Jenkins (Fear Case)!
Two haunted men are on a hunt in the jungles of Vietnam, searching for clues to a missing treasure trove of gold that was stolen from all over Asia by a Japanese general during World War II. Eventually they find a series of hidden caves in the mountains n...
Overall the series has it's ups and downs. I think it suffered a little pacing wise in the middle issues.
The story at time suffered from a little too much exposition and dialogue, sometimes again, stifling pacing.
The ending gave our protagonist full access to his powers, with creative historically inspired endings.
I would definitely read from this team again.
Dark Blood #6
When his family is held captive, Avery must use every bit of his courage and military training to mount a daring rescue of his wife, Emma, and their baby girl Grace from the facility where all this began.
But freeing his loved ones won't be enough. He'll need to make a desperate attempt to ensure that no one else ever goes through what he has,...
The Academy making it to the Carnival, especially in pursuit of one of their own through consolidated gangs aimed at them??!... has big time The Warriors vibes.
This whole book feels like Apocolyptic Teenage Future Fighting Warriors, and I love it.
What's The Furthest Place From Here? #4
NORMAL-SIZED FOURTH ISSUE!
The Carnival has come to town and everyone is here! But the Academy has a dark secret, and if it gets out now, this may be the end of the journey. But wait...
