Dec 01, 2021All in all, Cody Ziglar and Michael Dowling crush their two-part story by further developing the interesting character dynamics at work. Amazing Spider-Man #80 also offers up some trippy art and a battle that shows Ben is worthy particularly when he's not drugged. The Beyond era of Spider-Man is grand thanks to a good mix of character drama, dynamic action, and a hero who suffers from imposter syndrome. Read Full Review

The Comicbook Dispatch - StoryBabbler
Dec 02, 2021Amazing Spider-Man #80 delivers a fun and surreal Spider-Man story as Ben Reilly faces Kraven The Hunter. The story is well-written as Ben struggles to fight Kraven on two fronts while trying to keep a foot in reality. The art team does an amazing job with the art and colors, especially the surreal visual designs for Kraven and the imagery in Ben's mind. It's a fun conclusion to this two part Kraven story with Ben. Henchman-4-Hire - Sean Ian Mills
Dec 04, 2021Another fine issue of Amazing Spider-Man is a bit too much like previous issues of this same storyline. It's like a filler issue, just sending Spidey up against a classic villain while we wait for the actual story-moving issues to come later. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez
Dec 06, 2021Amazing Spider-Man #80 was a solid story that presented a true challenge for Ben Reilly to overcome. More stories like this where we see Spider-Man fight Kraven will help Ben gain more credibility as the permanent person carrying the mantle. If the Beyond Board writers can improve the writing of the supporting cast of this series then Spider-Man Beyond could be a big success when all is said and done. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - Collier "CJ" Jennings
Dec 01, 2021Amazing Spider-Man #80 takes Ben Reilly, and the audience, into a hallucinogenic horror show that tests the web-slinger's state of mind. With the next issue promising a slugfest between Miles Morales and Ben, as well as the return of another classic Spider-Man villain, the Beyond Saga is starting to heat up. Read Full Review
