This issue doesn't answer a whole lot of questions about Miguel's mission, but it sure is a lot of fun trying to figure it all out as the heroes have their hands full with the bad guys. It's a back to basics issue that makes us feel like Spiderman is getting it together again. We're more than on board with finding Peter Parker doing his best to solve the crime at hand. Amazing Spider-Man #32 has a solid story revolving Peter Parker and Teresa Parker clash with the Chameleon and other Marvel villains. Nick Spencer does show that he has a firm grasp on the current state of Peter Parker's personal and Spider-Man life. Unfortunately the secondary story that is picked up from Amazing Spider-Man #25 involving Spider-Man 2099 comes across as forced in rather than a natural part of the ongoing narrative for this series. The disconnect between these two stories hurt the overall impact Amazing Spider-Man #32 has. Read Full Review

I quite enjoyed this start to the new arc. Spencer does just enough to keep me guessing with this overdone 2099 world but I'll bite for now. Obviously Gleason's art is incredible and perfect for ASM. Add Wilson's colors and it's a beauty!!

First of all, Gleason's art is just stunning. The way he draws Spidey is perfect (big eyes, small webs, etc). The story is quite slow but plants the seeds for the upcoming issues, and leaves you with an urge to know what happens next.

A slow start sure, so hard to say if this will be a good one. Art is great and writing isn't bad. So, a pretty okay issue, but the following issues will tell if this slow start is worth it.

Great art in this book. Besides that the story is pretty good. I'm a sucker for 2099 stuff so I was happy but, it was a slow moving book thats more of an intro than it is an actual story.

Patrick Gleason kills it. Huge improvement over Ottley or Humberto Ramos. Kind of wish we didn't have to read a 2099 mini event, but the issue overall was pretty good.

Artist Patrick Gleason makes a pretty debut, but the story developments just perpetuate the problem of Peter Parker being the least-interesting part of his own comic.

Not wholly convinced by the 2099 plot but I have no such issues concerning the art - have loved Pat Gleason's art since I first saw it in New 52 Batman and Robin and pray that we will be seeing a lot more of it for ASM going forward.

Issue cut up in two stories. Both set ups for future projects. The stuff with Peter Parker, could careless about. Nothing interesting. And unfortunately even the stuff with Miguel, not interesting enough! At this point kindred being teased too much that he is just an eye roll whenever I see him.
