Two-Face #2 builds upon this mysterious story of who is out to bring Harvey and his work crashing to the ground. We see both the smart and short-tempered sides to him in this issue and begin to understand the relationship connecting the two sides of his personality. Harvey is steadfast and laser focused as he tries to regain the composure and feelings of duty that once drove his purpose. But a new being was born that day in court, the one that Harvey laments. That being wants a chance at driving, at really living. Harvey is facing a lot and as Two-Face #2 shows us, there are many players moving on this chess board. Two-Face is an exciting new noir that isn't afraid to be dark or campy as well. In this issue, Christian Ward seemingly embraces the theme of splits, dividing Harvey and Two-Face, Jaina Hudson and White Rabbit, and the King and Queen. Two-Face and Harvey have never felt more distinct or bold. For instance, Two-Face shows up in fiery Freddy Kruger-like images, haunting Harvey's mind prison. On a negative note, when Batman shows up, the silliness of the court premise seems childish and unnecessary. I'm falling in love with the combination of Veras' illustration and the colorful palette. I'm not going to say much about the “Shadow Hand” reveals, but I'm looking forward to where this concept and Two-Face's mind altogether. Read Full Review

Two-Face is an exploration of the redemption of Harvey Dent. Harvey is faced with two deadly situations as he has imprisoned Two-Face but has to deal with the attacks on the criminal empire structure by the Shadow Hand. We learn more about Lake Cantwell's past and investigative abilities. Can Harvey and Lake save the villains before they destroy each other? It is an entertaining story that will leave you wondering why these attacks are happening. Christian Ward continues to grow his twisted idea at Gotham Justice, while Fabio Veras and Ivan Plascencia bring exotic visuals to the wild world of Harvey Dent. Read Full Review

Fun evil court drama comic. I really hope the shadow hand isn't just two-face but it feels that way. I'd like it to be someone else or Harvey overcomes two-face and keeps this persona for a few years to help spice up the bat comics a little. I remember when clayface was changed and became a part of the bat team. It was great. However I feel even if he changes in this book the rest of DC\bat continuity will just ignore what happens here.

Some clunky pacing in the middle but pretty good overall. My bias to like this pushes it to an 8. Liking the art. Reminds me of Sean Phillips.
