But Why Tho? - Charles Hartford
Oct 02, 2019Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium #2creates such atmosphere and weight in its narrative that it pains me to see it end. I only hope that what it leads to can pick up the groundwork it has laid down to create a story worthy of this series' exceptional work. Read Full Review

Oct 03, 2019Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium #2 succeeds mightily in connecting the thematic threads woven throughout this tale, and does exactly what it intends to do: make readers care about the Legion again. It's going to be an awesome ride, folks. Read Full Review

The Fandom Post - Chris Beveridge
Oct 08, 2019While the Legion makes up a very small portion of this book and it's really just the Rose/Thorn story, it's one that does everything right for me. Giving us a travelogue to the future to understand the foundations of the Legion and where Earth stands with all of it is exactly what was needed and I'm glad it happened outside of the Legion book itself, which is going to have more than enough to work with. Bendis put together a lot of really good stuff here and got to do it with a fantastic team of artists to bring it to life. I totally understand why this two-part series may have fallen through for some, but for me, it delivered exactly what I didn't know I wanted. Read Full Review

Oct 02, 2019With a stronger overall story to carry through the weak points, this is a much more enjoyable Legion primer than the first installment while setting up some interesting plot points to explore in Legion. Read Full Review

Oct 02, 2019Again, this gave me hope. Bendis and Sook work well together and they are the creative team on the new ongoing series. Hopefully they tell good stories and keep it focused. Otherwise, the book could be in real trouble and it wouldn't have much of a future. Read Full Review

Oct 02, 2019All of the artists give their best in this issue. There are some beautiful sequences mixed in with some amazingly detailed ones. All the transitions worked in keeping the style matched with the theme of that part of the story. Read Full Review

DC Comics News - Matthew Lloyd
Oct 07, 2019There seems to be some hope for Legion of Super-Heroes fans in this Fourthbooted iteration of the team. However, under Bendis's pen it may take some time to materialize as his track record at DC has shown him to take far too long to get to the point. Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium is a perfect example of this. While Rose's character may be interesting, it really has nothing to do with the Legion. Bendis is going to try and tie it all together, but like “The Unity Saga,” one fears it will be a long drawn out tale with a lackluster finale. Thankfully, the art is consistently good in Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium #2, even if the “story” is yet more set up. Read Full Review

Oct 02, 2019Why Legion didn't simply return with its own #1 in November is a question with no clear answer and all of the artistic talents assembled for this aimless tour feels like some seriously squandered potential. Read Full Review

Oct 02, 2019There really is no reason to pick this issue up. If you are a Legion of Super-Heroes fan, don't let this taint you. Just wait for the Legion series to start and pray for the best. The art here is stellar, but even that can't save this book from being 100% skippable. Read Full Review

Oct 19, 2019A major misfire in reintroducing the Legion to the DC Universe that leaves me concerned. The story appears to be teasing a story without having the courage to simply introduce it in the monthly title when it finally is published. The visuals are okay, but don't impress because the characters I'm paying to read about aren't in the story. I'm incredibly disappointed. Let me put it this way, say you're a writer and the company you write for says it's going to pay you in cash, but instead they give you some paper that says MONEY at the top, but it's not money. Would that writer be happy with what they received? That's how I feel about the writing on this book. With a story this bad, and such a misleading title, I can't average the scores to give a passing grade. Read Full Review
