Green Lantern #6 is an exciting conclusion to the first chapter of Controller Mu's larger story. The artwork heightens the tension that is inherent to an issue where Hal Jordan has to kill Adam Strange. I've read this issue 3 times now, and each time I like it even more than the previous read. You are sucked in from the start and it leaves you wondering what is next for Mu. Before we find out, we need a break and I am very excited to see what Morrison, Sharp, and Oliff do with our new big bad and the emerald wasteland Hal finds himself trapped in. Read Full Review

Even if everything isnt completely clear this issue, Green Lantern is the most ambitious and challenging superhero comic DC is putting out right now. While its not the strongest installment, theres enough here to be excited about where Morrison and Sharp are taking the title next. Read Full Review

If you are a Green Lantern fan or a fan of Morrison, this is a fantastic issue and I highly suggest you pick up this series. Its a must have for anyones pull list that loves the wild sci-fi stories. I feel the same way after I read an issue of The Green Lantern as I do after watching an episode of Twin Peaks. I am not 100% sure what I saw or what it was about, but I liked it. We saw some crazy visuals and it had familiar story points, and then it went in an odd direction. And, much like a Twin Peaks episode, I immediately wanted to talk with somebody about it. Hal Jordan has to kill Adam Strange to maintain his cover as a Blackstar. Hal saves Adam Strange but blows his cover in the process, putting the universe at stake. Hal apparently saves the universe, but disappears in the process. Where is Hal and will he know how to return to our universe? Read Full Review

The Green Lantern #6 was another fantastic issue by Grant Morrison and Liam Sharp. These two just continue to outdo themselves with each passing issue. They understand how to escalate things quickly and play up the drama of different moments. With Hal Jordan now stuck inside the mysterious world of his Green Lantern ring who knows what will happen next. Prelude: It's the final part of The Green Lantern: Intergalactic Lawman. Let's see how Morrison wraps up the first half of this season in the mid-season finale, "Under Strange Skies". The Good: I love Controller Mu in this. The duel was fun. Loved the ending confrontation. Myrwhydden! That cliffhanger in general is amazing. Can't wait for "Emerald Sands". Liam Sharp's art was beautiful here. The Bad: Nothing. Conclusion: The perfect mid-season finale for The Green Lantern. I loved the whole thing.

THE GOOD: -This comic continues to be a stellar series, and one I look forward to consistently. -Liam Sharp was great. There wasn't as much for him to draw this time around, but he still knocked it out of the park. -I really liked the Green Lantern/Adam Strange shootout arena scene. -This was a good end to the first story arc. -Yes! Finally they got Hal right. He felt like a character for once. I have a feeling the next arc will be even better considering this issue fixed the one thing that was wrong with these otherwise great first six issues. -I really liked the whole "my willpower is stronger" bit at the end. That was neat. -I have absolutely no idea what was going on at the end there, but I'm excited to see mo re. THE BAD: -This issue just didn't quite have the same magic that the previous issues had. Maybe it's because this issue was so much more normal than the others. Maybe it's the lack of goofy creatures. I don't know. more

What a great issue. Morrison definitely knows what he's doing here as all the pieces finally fit together. Liam Sharp's artwork is just insane as well. This is one of the best books out on the stands these days.

Grant Morrison is really good at pandering to my GL Silver Age nostalgia, but even that aside the book is just good. Controller Mu is actually a pretty intimidating villain, I dig it.

A pretty solid end to this first arc with mysteries and wonder still to be explored. The next arc definitely catches my interest and I can't want to keep going.

So somehow I never reviewed this issue. Ever. It's not as though I forgot to post it or something... I just skipped reviewing this one I read it though and I had a good time with it. I assume I just didn't have much to say about it at the time.
