Doom Patrol by Waid would be amazing. We don't get to see either near enough anymore.
Batman / Superman: World's Finest #2
| Writer | Mark Waid |
| Artist | Dan Mora |
| Cover Price | $3.99 |
The Man of Steel and the Dark Knight have arrived at the compound of Niles Caulder-the Chief in charge of that strange band of misfits known as the Doom Patrol-but all is not as it seems. While Batman works with Niles to cure Superman of his freakish transformations, a side mission to track a mysterious figure known as "the Demon" attracts the Dark Knight's attention...and moreover, it could have some connection to Superman's poisoning at the hands of Metallo! It's danger, intrigue, and the surprise appearance of Deadman in chapter two of World's Finest!

Apr 19, 2022Batman Superman World's Finest is pure fun. It's a fun ride from start to finish and the only knock is it's way too quick a read. I'd sign up yesterday for a Waid/Mora vintage style Justice League book. For now, it's fine to sit back and enjoy one of the best titles DC is putting out each month. Read Full Review

Apr 19, 2022Batman/Superman: Worlds Finest #2 is phenomenal. This is very much like two comics in one, as the first issues story bleeds into this one before the real plot takes over. This overlapping of the stories between issues creates a longing to keep reading. Read Full Review

Apr 19, 2022Batman/Superman: World's Finest #2 is an excellent follow-up issue that builds the story with moments that play on the reader's emotions. More heroes of the DCU make their way into this book which is fantastic as it is titled World's Finest, but we get plenty of extra heroes. The time travel part was a little unbelievable, but I won't get too hung up on it for the stake of the story. The issue serves as a good setup that drives you to continue this adventure. I am enjoying the spark of hope that Mark, Dan, and Tamra are bringing to the DCU. Read Full Review

Apr 19, 2022Batman/Superman: World's Finest #2 takes everything that worked about the first issue and builds on it. Then, it takes everything that wasn't right in the first issue and corrects it. This is a perfect example of classic superhero storytelling and a highly recommended pick for anyone that wants to remember why they liked reading superhero comics. Read Full Review

Apr 20, 2022Batman/Superman: World's Finest #2 is fun. It's a hell of a lot of fun. The series is quickly becoming a favorite of mine with an energy that makes reading the comic enjoyable. It's a reminder that comics can be fun and entertaining and succeed without a dark cloud hanging over every aspect. It's a ray of light that's been missed and needed. Read Full Review

Apr 22, 2022Underwhelming villain and potential cultural insensitivity aside, World's Finest #2 is a celebration of the weird and wonderful in the DC Universe. Mark Waid, Dan Mora, and Tamra Bonvillain get to play with all of the toys in this 84 year old sandbox, and this book has everything from blockbuster fight scenes to quick-witted one-liners and banter and the Robin/Supergirl dynamic is especially entertaining. Apr 19, 2022The second issue of this series is strong and fun, but it's not as good as I think it could be. The comic rambles a little bit, and perhaps the creative team put a bit too much in one issue. But the artwork is beautiful, and when the writing works, it works! Read Full Review

Apr 25, 2022With the introduction of Supergirl, Batman Superman World's Finest #2 also begins a B-story sending Kara and Robin back in time to learn more about an immortal ancient Chinese warlord known as The Devil Nezha who has some connection to current events (but I'll admit being a bit confused by it all). There's obviously some tension between the two younger heroes, that isn't explained, but makes for some fun back-and-forth. Read Full Review
