Ha, brilliant.
As others have said, most Bizarro stories are kind of lame. I mean some are great and tragic but a lot are poorly done as he is a hard character to do a good story about. That being said, a plague on Bizarro world that turns them normal? And they just leave plot devices out in the open because of course they do, they are Bizarros. Its great. I love this concept! Can't wait to read the next issue. more

Even ifthey survive, can they find their way home from a backward planet in time to savetheir friends from danger?
Wad pulled off a tricky stunt with this issue: a Bizarro story that is fairly coherent and sensible, and even scary at times. I’m usually not a fan of the Bizarro characters so I had initially approached the issue with trepidation, but thanks to Waid’s script and the gorgeous artwork, I was pleasantly surprised.

Me hate this book. It awful with ugly pictures and bad story. You not read this.

Story was great honestly. I enjoyed pretty much everything thing about it, but mostly because I was able to overlook all the glaring issues in it. Waid is doing everything in the bronze and silver age. That is cool. I love it. But you cannot do a modern day event like podcasting, and 'the bros' yet set it in that era. It makes no sense. If this was current batman and superman then sure, but it isn more

Admittedly this was a really fun final issue. Spider-boy isnt a bad character to my surprise. He has his ups and downs, some wins but a lot of loses, built up a team (kind of??), and has a bunch of cool social supports and side characters they could draw on in the future. While he doesnt really have any actually villains left (besides the 2 or 3 comic punch line guys he fights for a couple of pane more
SPIDER-BOY'S GREATEST BATTLE LIES AHEAD!
SPIDER-MAN is down! And with MR. NEGATIVE and his inner demons closing in, SPIDER-BOY makes a last, desperate stand! LOOK OUT, BAILEY - it's all the friends (and foes) you made along the way! Spider-Girl! Hulkette! Madame Monstrosity and more! But are they here to help Bailey or Mr. Negative?!
...
This issue rides the line of being fun and being too cheesy/ham fisted with the plot. Like I did like parts of it and laughed even at parts but at the same thing, everything just felt too campy, like at this point Slott really isnt taking the book seriously. I know it only has one issue left so he is trying to wrap it up but it feels too obvious.
SPIDER-BOY VS. MR. NEGATIVE...SOLO!
• MR. NEGATIVE and his Inner Demons need something that SPIDER-BOY has.
• SPIDER-MAN's one rule for SPIDER-BOY is that he can't face any A-list villains as they're just too dangerous, and it doesn't get much more A-list or dangerous than Mr. Negative.
• But when Negative takes Spider-Ma...
I am honestly a bit confused at the poor reviews. This issue actually tied a lot together and made way more sense than I had any hope of it making. Like I was ready for it to just be a fight and then kind of fall flat, but not only does Campbell end the story with the main points all tied up, he leaves other authors in the future two Zatanna villains to work with, each having actual motivations to more
Zatanna returns to the Crimson Palace Nightclub for a final performance to saveAdam and Blue Devil from themselves. But first, she’ll have to go up against notonly the Lady White but her secret ally—one who’s been seeking revenge againstZatanna and her family since the very beginning. Could Zatanna’s magic be the keyto discovering past trut...
The writing is a bit of a mess for sure. All that being said, I see a clear through line in this story and stuff is finally making sense. The start of the issue is a lie, Zatanna detects that, finds the real villian behind it all. We also get why the White Lady is so salty (rightfully so), and we get the steps needed for the final big fight. This issue did all it needed to do, but it could have do more
The trap is sprung. All cards are drawn. The guillotine descends. As a tragic taleof loss and demise is told, Zatanna has one chance to discover the secrets of thecursed sword, regain control over the narrative, and save herself. If not, when thestory concludes, so does her life!
This Ramos art looks very phoned in. Not sure if he just isnt trying or if his style really doesnt fit the FF but its not great. Also for a number 1 issue this isnt what I expected. Like might be really cool a bit into the run but this seems like an odd choice to 'start anew'. Also they just get owned by Doom again so I can only see Doom being beat for some really dumb reason.
All in a more
A NEW ERA FOR MARVEL'S FIRST FAMILY! The FANTASTIC FOUR return with a new issue #1, kicking off a whole new volume of their adventures through time, space, science and the human condition! When the Fantastic Four take on Doom, things go well until they suddenly go catastrophically wrong - and they're sent to four different eras in Earth's history! ...
Ok so the science really cheated here and it was honestly a lot of BS. Fun BS but still BS.
I really enjoyed the cosmic art. Characters were ok but man the cosmic art and the exploding panels with HERBIE were great.
This was a sweet end but kind of wrapped things up too quickly and too simply for this to honestly be an end of a run. This is just jarring. Also the fact it is more
FANTASTIC ZERO!
It all comes down to this! Thirty-three issues of fantastic adventure culminate in a final stirring adventure, back to the beginning...of EVERYTHING. When the solution to what Doom did to Ben can only be found in the past, the Fantastic Four must voyage back four hundred and thirty-six quadrillion seconds into the Big Bang...
This was way better than his previous 3 issues. Lots of great twists and turns and while it did telegraph enough by the halfway point that I knew how it was likely going to end, it didnt make it any less disturbing. Its a story with a kind of satisfying ending if you dont mind the purposely insane incoherency of it all. Much more in-line with what I expect from Ice Cream Man.
“Performance Review”
It’s Craig’s end-of-year review with his senior manager. Let’s cross our fingers for a promotion of some sort.
This issue is a bunch of wtf moments that make it rather hard to follow. Honestly, while cool, it is also confusing and rather frustrating to read. That being said it would probably read a lot better in a trade all at once. A once a month model doesnt work for this issue well. Good art though.
KEY ISSUE ALERT, Part 1In an instant, everything can change. Sara’s partner Michael Yee has been shot and clings to life by a thread. As others have said, this issue is pretty sweet and has a couple of laugh out loud moments. This issue also felt a lot like 'point out silly trope' then proceed to dunk on silly trope. I can appreciate when this is done once in a while. Also all the characters felt like they were written quite in character and Hals outburts were pretty great.
Still waiting for Sorrow to get beaten up o more
It’s Hector Hammond versus Hal Jordan as the confrontation comes to a head, while Kyle Rayner, Superboy, and Odyssey come across a Reach outpost and amysterious stranger!
This issue produced two jaw drops, one of 2 minutes and one of thirty seconds as well as a fist pump and “hell yeah” followed by a genuine laugh out loud. What an issue with some great surprises and appearances you just don’t see coming. Jeremy Adams puts together another outstanding issue, one of the best of the series. No spoilers here, but you don’t want to miss this issue. Hal’s more

There is a lot going on in this issue, and Adams really seems to be diving into the multiple plot lines again. He really seems to like to use multiple plot lines in this Green Lantern run. Reminds me a lot of Claremont and that isnt a bad thing. Lots of interpersonal relationship stuff going on, and of course the US government is doing things that are quickly backfiring. The sky is also blue. Noth more
ENTER STARBREAKER! Everything is emotional as Hal makes his way back to Kyle, Superboy, and Odyssey, who attempt to fend off attacks from the Sorrow and an even bigger threat--Starbreaker! Make way for a cosmic battle for pieces to a new power battery that spells doom for the universe.
Well, this issue ramps things up as everything intensifies. There’s just a couples between Odyssey and Kon-El and it immediately does more for him than everything in the past 10 years- what HAS been going on with him, maybe Jeremy Adams will tell us?!?!?! Plus, Adams doesn’t forget Carol and Hal. The new status of their relationship continues to develop and it continues to be captivating. more

Contrary to some of the people who are down on this issue, I found it really enjoyable. I do enjoy the different tones of each of the adventures. Kyle's adventure is a kind of cheesy fun Raiders journey. Honestly very in character. Adams gets it and it was nice to see them have fun. Hals section was really good (by far the best part), as it shows something that I swear nobody wants to show anymore more
WILL HAL STOP THE SORROW IN TIME?! I'm a bit confused about the resolution of the Hal Jordan story. Did the red lantern die? He acted as if he did. I was less impressed with the Kyle storyline as Jeremy made it no secret that he was emulating Raiders of the Lost Ark with Kyle even dressing as the character, which was a bit cheesy I have to say. I wanted to see more out of the alien thief. He made it incredibly easy as Conner simply more

It was pretty clear that the red lantern died. Hal was regretful that he couldn't save his life. You can tell he died as he red lantern item (the hammer), reverted back to the original tool. Hope that helps clarify things.
So Doom has run the world better than the heroes and the heroes are salty about it? Like if you read the other books around this and the prologue that is how it feels. This is a pathetic start to an event.
Decent enough art though.
ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM!
Six months ago, Doctor Victor Von Doom became Sorcerer Supreme - then disappeared behind Latveria's closed borders. This book seems extremely hollow to me. We have already seen Doom take over the world and he ran it so well that he became bored. I really don't need a rehash of that story done exactly the same way. Ryan North is not a great writer. He's been on Fantastic Four going on three years and no one talks about it. Why would you have a mediocre writer kick off your multi-book event? He should have taken more

This was a weak issue. I really should go back and actually put in my review for the other issues, but this wasnt worth more than a skim.
Art was the strongest part. It is what got 3.5 out of the 4 total points I gave.
This is more or less gobblygook nonsense with character written out of character or just horribly bland. It is hard not to cheer for Doom at this point even more
Dormammu has come for Doom - and Doom has SURVIVED.
Broken, depleted, but having bought the time he needed, Doom ensured that all Earth's heroes would survive. These heroes now face a choice: They can allow Earth to fall to Dormammu - or they can align with Doom and fight for Earth beside him. Doom is at his highest - with Earth's heroes ...
This issue has a lot of solid character moments with Simon, Keli, and Guy. It’s a nice balance between character and action as this issue goes to an interesting locale which provides that action. Additionally, the story touches the edges of what’s going on in Green Lantern. It connects nicely while maintaining just enough separateness. The best thing about this issue is how it takes full a more

A fellow space cabbie enthusiasts. Great to see! And you are right. DC needs to properly collect its golden age sci-fi.
Kilowog opening drill speech, 10/10.
Really enjoy this new art. While it is more anime like, it kind of fits the off the cuff side adventures of the Green Corps really well. It puts a good atmosphere.
All these side adventures, rather changes the tone of the book, but I do enjoy seeing what everyone is up to. Training the recruits of tomorrow is always important after all. more

The focus on the fate of the Red Lanterns is both welcome and strong, and finally having someone talk to John is good. But please, DC, remember than Shayera is with Carter now. Let's not prioritize the continuity of (very good) animated shows over the continuity of the comics. (Sometimes I think I am the only one who read Vendetti's Hawkman series.)

There are dozens of us who read Vendetti's Hawkman, dozens! Though on a serious note, his series was amazing. Best Hawkman in like what... a decade. That being said, DC editorial seems to have left that gold in the dust. DC editorial is the real issue here. Poor continuity. I do appreciate Adams nod to the animated show as it was one of the best animated shows ever done.
Well the core of Thanagar being... well. Yep that had a real wtf moment for me. Great art on that page and it made a great impact. Kind of a record scratch moment.

This comic is well balanced between plot, character, action and emotion. Jeremy Adams work has been strong at DC, and this seems to be the case in this title. Paired with Morgan Hampton on writing duties doesn’t appear to hamper the deeper elements. Even the John Stewart/ Shayera “relationship” front benefits this issue. There’s nothing specific mentioned, but John is displays a sincer more

Ok I laughed in the locker scene with Stewart and Hawkgirl. Like we all know what was going through their minds and the tense looks before the left the locker, well I chuckled at that. Good situational play. Also John telling Atrocitus to watch his language and then Hawkgirl out curse him like a rough trucker was another great moment. I am really easing into the idea that this is functionally a self-contained story of what Aquaman is up to while the rest of DC does it All-in stuff. Lori is acting weird for sure. It will be interesting when we meet Dagon and see his powers.
This issue was pretty cool though. More seeing Aquaman use his powers in creative ways and a real power-up with his weapon. Lot of seeing him smash stuff now. Less on the back-foot now. Next issue I assume we get more lore drops.

Is this a departure from normal aquaman? Yeah it is. Aquaman has been given a new status quo by editorial and Adams is doing a great job with it. It is still fundamentally Aquaman in nature, just with different powers in a different land. Still trying to save his people, still clearly drive by his lessons of youth. Enjoyable overall.
