Great arc, though this last chapter felt a little rushed but overall satisfying. Shame the art dipped throughout the run.

A comic fan's comic. No nonsense, action packed, the start of a great run?

Not 'bad' - but not good. Certainly doesn't get me fired up for the event to come. Just setting the scene I suppose. Great art in some issues though, Hal/Aquaboy in particular. Let's see how this all unfolds..

Thank god Bendis is gone, that might've been the worst Justice League I've ever read.

Sorry, but two guys kissing is still gross for me, so I closed it when that panel occured.
Nightwing #89
Superman/Nightwing crossover! Years ago, when Robin took his first uncertain steps away from Batman as his own hero, Superman stepped in and offered Dick Grayson crucial advice, support, and a name: Nightwing. Now it's time for Nightwing to return the favor.
Lol at least this ones up front about why you shouldn't take his review seriously
Great, another book about inclusion and equity and destroying Wonder Woman.

Shadows of the bat started off strong but for a few issues it has become clear what is going on and it's no longer very interesting.

Art is amazing but the plot to this book feels jarringly cheesy. And the scripting feels like something from the 90s.

Worth reading I suppose. I liked the lineup of characters. The existential threats to the DC multiverse are getting somewhat tiresome, darkseid is a little boring.

Titular batman has been naff for ages now. This arc was very lame. The double cross and reveal. Nothing really transpired. Points for art

Batman #109
Main Story: Mayor Nakano green-lights the Magistrate pilot program for Gotham City as Batman goes toe-to-toe with the augmented and bloodthirsty Peacekeeper-01! It's a brutal battle for the ages, but what secrets does Harley Quinn hold about the man beneath the armor, Sean Mahoney? And how does this all play in to the Scarecrow's hands?! ...
You know, I used to complain that today's comics were all pictures and no words. Well, Tynion has gotten around that problem by putting in a lot of words without any action. And what action there is, is just hitting without context.
We don't see how Bats actually out-think his opponents. He just hits them. And when that doesn't work, he hits them harder -and that works. We don't see him

Your take on Ghost Maker is head-on. He's just a wannabe. And all he was trying to do was impress Harley out of hopes of bedding her. Truly pathetic. If Tynion is trying to sell this character to us he's doing a pretty bad job of it.
Three stars because the art is really good. The script is terrible and nothing interesting in three issues
