If the final shot with Alfred holding the vaccine in his hand and talking about saving the world didn't you hit in the head with it, nothing will. But I'm pretty sure you saw through it and just pretends that isn't there. Wouldn't be your first time.

As per your second comment, writers DO try heavily to influence society through their writings. It's been this way forever and now with social media is more evident than ever. You have to really put your head in the sand to pretend otherwise. But then again, you do have experience in that department. As it's said, ignorance is bliss.

Tynion clearly writes this in the midst of the lockdowns so it stands to reason hes using this as allegory for the spread of the virus. I'm not recalling injections being used to cure vampirism as part of the mythology and Bennett being present is DC horror vampire staple. At the very least Tynion is using the conditions of current fears of the virus as the foundation of this story. The vaccinations fall squarely into that.

Whether Tynion is being is selling vaccinations to his readers is on the reader but it's clearly using today's real world as the mirror for this story. Granted it's also DC trying a second dip into the ideas of DCeased.

Yeah, vampires used to be killed with wooden stakes, garlic, the sun, that sort of stuff. Now it's with vaccines. Tooooootal coincidence. Sure, you can think that. If you're actively trying not to think at all.

For me Tynion cant leave DC fast enough. He stunk up Batman to the point where the book is unreadable to me so any prosletysing for vaccinations are ignored on my part.

I wouldn't be very surprised if Rosenberg came up with the idea. He is woven from the same cloth as Tynion, both of them have this megalomania that they're some authority figures on twitter and they carry that in their comics.

Oh, and in case it has escaped your attention, three other people liked this review, which makes me think they saw through the writers' intentions too. So, you know, there's 5 of us, so I'm definitely not seeing thing that aren't there since others are seeing it, too. Not that Rosenberg, Tynion and Schmidt were subtle or anything, you just have to voluntarily turn your brain off not to see it.

I recall the writer of the recent retcon of Tim Deake says she spent several minutes on her apartment floor in euphoria when DC aporoved it. She said *it was the only story I could write". Her lofty self perceptions aside she is clearly an activist writer and wrote it to influence people to do things*. Thsts just one blatant example I can cite many many more. I'm pretty sure Tynion and Rosenberg know that sales aren't huge for the book. It's not intended to saturate the national conversation. It's intended for the audience that normally buys books of that nature and they're doing their bit to sell it to that audience. The loaf creates a false premise by attempting to insinuate that one is mistaken in believing the whole nation is the target audience. I agree. I think bad policies being imposed by state and federal bureaucrats along with morons like Newsom at the helm are what I would attribute to the fire breakouts. We need to allow for controlled burns to prevent accretion of flammable vegetation. This is why fires in the state are out of control. Dap if I may add..I have no qualms with comics using politics and social issues to tell a good story. But writing to sell an ideological adherence is not necessary. If you remember ten nights of the beast it's set in the context of conflict with USSR and has Reagan in not an entirely flattering portrayal but it doesn't bludgeon you with the writers views.

Now pick up the first issue if the current legends of the dark knight and the writer takes a swipe at Trump and the election by the Joker for no reason other than to show the writers lefty cred. It sours the reader if the reader doesn't come to the book for that stuff.

I want people to read your review, acknowledge you say nothing about the book(you ignore art, story, character, setup and everything else) and judge it for themselves with that in mind. I did say a lot of things about the book, you just don't like what I have to say. Those are two very, very different things. I also prefer that but you deliberately ignore all my arguments.

What does it matter what he thinks of America, he is Australian. I already got in an argument with you about "American Way”, but this is a kid who was born on another planet (even though it was retconned and even then, was born in the arctic) and spent almost half his life in an earth-3 volcano and in the future. He doesn't have much of a connection to America.

That would be my question exactly, why is he so interested in American politics since he is from Australia? He always feels the need to comment on the political climate there, that's when he isn't complaining about Scott Morrison that he isn't "green enough" or that he's linked to QAnon (yes he said that on his twitter, I'm not making this up). The story is screwed up from the get go, Bendis ruined this franchise and they just pretend it's nothing I'm baffled at some of ya'll who thinks this is a good storyline, even might be, but due to what bendis have done with the character background, it is impossible to like, even if Jerry siegel came back from the dead to write this shit!!!
