Wonder Woman: Earth One #1
In this new installment of the New York Times best-selling Earth One original graphic novel line, Grant Morrison (THE MULTIVERSITY) joins with Yanick Paquette (SWAMP THING, BATMAN, INC.) to reimagine Wonder Woman for a new era. Encompassing the vision of her original creator, William Moulton Marston, Morrison presents a Diana who yearns to break f...
Who the hell are these critics on this site that give 90% of everything they read 10 stars? Everything can't be a 10. Its hard to take the critic reviews on here seriously sometimes. But this was a solid comic and series. Definitely not a 10 but was worth the read. But I am so glad this event is finally over. These huge events that span for months and have multiple tie ins and effect every storyli more

Most enjoyable issue of this series in a long time. The page where the X-Men are in a car is just perfect. But overall this issue is good because the plot moves forward and there's action for once.
Ultimate X-Men #17
OPERATION: RESCUE ARMOR! Hisako has been missing, but Nico's undercover sleuthing finally tracks her down! But the Church of the Children of the Atom aren't going to give up Armor without a fight... What dangers await our X-Men in the Astral Plane?
Not exactly original but an exiting story with dynamic art and full of twists and turns.
Imperial #2
Part two of a four-part Marvel cosmic event! Against the fallout of someone mysteriously killing the rulers of the Marvel galactic empires, the fires of war are lit! As that conflict simmers, NOVA and STAR-LORD race to discover who is behind all these evil acts - a journey that takes them to the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda!
It was meh. I'll pick and choose what to read of the event itself (excited for Hickman on Longshots).
The decision to go almost entirely with Shen Xorn narrating the events made for a pretty dull read. And when the entire thing is retread of AoA, its even duller. There's an inkling of good ideas (parallels to manifest destiny) to, but come on, a mutant zombie plague? Zombies have been t

I don't throw out 10s that often, but this deserves it.
Continues the great writing Priest is known for on this series and the art by Gunduz is probably the best its ever been on this book.
Vampirella #3

Solid writing, great art. The treasury size makes for a pretty spectacular read.
It's not really about anything though. It doesn't say anything about anything. There's no theme really. And there's no hook to get me to keep reading the current Supes books.
I feel the same way about most of DCs mainline books right now to be honest.
Superman Treasury 2025: Hero for All #1
Legends collide as the Man of Steel goes supersized for the Summer of Superman! Best issue of the series yet. Glad we're not spending pages and pages inside a feral Logan's head regurgitating old Wolverine themes.
Great world building, plot advancement, etc. Glad that the book is finally fleshing out more of the Eurasian republic.
Art is excellent but mostly invisible if that makes sense. It tells the story very well but is nothing spectacular.
Ultimate Wolverine #7
…IN LIMBO? Has the OPPOSITION finally helped Logan reclaim his identity? But what lengths will COLOSSUS, MAGIK and OMEGA RED go to keep their prized weapon? And don't miss Ultimate MAGIK revealing the depth of her power!

It's springtime in Hi No Kuni, the period for renewal and new beginnings. But what's new is not always what's better, as Hisako's dark era spreads...

I couldn’t help but wonder if Priest wasn’t inspired by Angela Basset yelling on the big screen, “Remind them who you are!!â€. Because it seems as if he went straight home and did just that with this story.
It explains why this first issue reads like Christopher Priest’s Greatest Black Panther Hits — Everett Ross’s humor, the power of the Dora Milaje, the absurdity of Wakandan

Art is great. Story is good with lots of bits set up for future issues. Good to see the Maker's lieutenants again.
Biggest issue the characterization of Ultimate Peter felt way off. Too silly (like 616 Peter) and I felt he noped out way to early.
Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion #1
MILES MORALES CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF A UNIVERSAL COLLISION! Two of today's most exciting writers, DENIZ CAMP (ULTIMATES) and CODY ZIGLAR (MILES MORALES: SPIDER-MAN), join forces for an adventure that will change Miles Morales- and the Ultimate Universe - forever! Drawn by rising star JONAS SCHARF, the brilliantly moody artist who brought you ULTIM...
This was good. Some of the plot felt a little "too neat."
Overall I liked it. Lots of good character work. I've never understood people complaining about Hickman's character work. He's always been good at writing distinct voices for each chat and that really shows here. Nova, Starlord, Hulk, Cho, J'son and She-Hulk are all well written.
There's plenty of action and plot devel

JONATHAN HICKMAN, FEDERICO VICENTINI AND IBAN COELLO TAKE ON THE UNIVERSE!
A sweeping Marvel cosmic event! Imperial is a story of intrigue, mysteries and war, which takes place against the backdrop of the formation of new galactic order in the Marvel Universe. Featuring HULKS, BLACK PANTHERS, NOVAS, GUARDIANS and COSMIC KINGS and QUEENS. ...
This is book is good but so little happens so I can't say I loved it. Essentially one major plot development re: Logan. And we learned who the leader of the Opposition is. And then a mutant with some changes from is introduced. The pseudoscience in the introduction is flimsy.
The internal exploration of Logan continues to be ... Fine. It's not bad but it's not great. There's so little c

A 7 is probably generous. Definitely did not live up to the Bad Idea hype machine.
It's entirely setup, minimal dialogue, no character work at all. Pretty standard alien invasion story.
The art is good but not amazing. I appreciated the 1.99 price point.
