Another fine book by Zdarsky, but can we stop trying to "drag" Matt "lower?!" I need to be able to root for my heros, and it's hard to do that when I know their writers have it in for them! (Wells, I'm looking at you!)

Stupendous. Tragic, beautiful, disturbing-Zdarsky and Chechetto are going out with a bang.

Also I'm so happy we finally got to see Blindspot again! I thought he'd be forever ignored.

Am I the only one who didn't think this was the best thing ever? I'm a huge fan of this run, but I did not feel the connection with this issue. I found parts of it to be really well crafted. I just can't put my finger on why I didn't love it.

The idea of terrors and those who are tasks with killing them is unique and compelling, but economic hierarchical distopias alla Snowpiercer always feel heavy-handed to me and I can't get passed it. Plus the members of our plucky band of mercs are nothing new, even if they are outwardly more diverse than most comic book teams in the past. What the hell was this supposed to be? The final issue and all Kelly could up with was a party and a whole bunch of dialogue of characters telling Carol how great she is. Come on, give me a break. An over-sized 30-page book with absolutely zero action. I'll repeat my other reviews by saying she should have been off this book 20 issues ago. A very well done introduction to this crime superhero story set in my hometown no less!

Artwork is solid and captures the gray and blue and orange tones of nighttime Pittsburgh, and sets off several storylines weaving in and out of this narrative about a masked vigilante taking matters into his own hands.

Just when you think it's just a compelling crime drama with several well developed characters, BAM, it's also a hero Mag. I love when new takes on caped crusaders are unique without being totally cynical. I'm so excited to see what's next!

I always love the Space Western genre, so I was very excited for this direction for the Guardians. Unfortunately, I found the pace too fast and the dialogue too awkward so that reading was not easy and the relationship between the characters didn't feel present. I hope #2 expends what worked and leaves what didn't. I will be reading it.
