Geek'd Out - Muriel Truax
Jan 26, 2022I have always felt that the X-Men stories capture the mythical nature of comics in a unique way, with their emphasis on god-like humans, and death and resurrection. This issue is an exciting contribution to X Lives and Deaths of Wolverine, and I look forward to following Logans interactions with time and other X-Men in following issues. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - David Harth
Feb 02, 2022X Deaths Of Wolverine #1 takes an entirely different approach to things than X Lives, and its stronger for it. Much like HoX/PoX, itll be interesting to see how the two books play off each other. Percy is doing a bang-up job, and Vicentis art is killer. This one is something special. Read Full Review

Jan 26, 2022PREMISELet me start this review with an extremely mild spoiler and recap from events that cascaded right out of INFERNO #4. Why? Well, it will help to paint a better picture for fans this week. X DEATHS OF WOLVERINE is absolutely nothing like X LIVES OF WOLVERINE. Now, it doesnt mean that they arent in conjunction (because they most certainly are) but X DEATHS OF WOLVERINE and X LIVES OF WOLVERINE are the new HOXPOX for this era. Read Full Review

Jan 28, 2022This high energy follow-up to Inferno is full of twists and turns. The central mystery is fascinating, and the art looks great. This definitely looks to live up to what the concept promised. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - William Tucker
Jan 26, 2022X Deaths of Wolverine #1 is a comic fuelled by nitrous. It travels at 100 miles an hour and if you dont hang on you can fall off and lose it. There is a lot of power to the story and Moira is a deeply investing character. She has a vulnerability now that makes the reader nervous, but the strength by the final page has us rooting for her. Perhaps the biggest problem with the issue is that the title may lead to some feeling misled. But anyone missing the Canadian should not worry for long. Read Full Review

Jan 26, 2022Non-stop but conspicuously without much Wolverine, X Deaths of Wolverine seems intent on telling a parallel story to its sister series. Read Full Review

Multiversity Comics - Matthew Blair
Jan 28, 2022A fun and incredibly tense chase sequence that is well written with the usual Marvel quality art. However, if you really want to get the most out of this book, you have to either know what happened in previous books, or get ready for some homework. Read Full Review

Jan 26, 2022Perhaps future issues can build on the groundwork lain here and find the sense of scale it's reaching for by playing off of events in its companion series, but this debut issue is a frustrating start. Read Full Review
