A beautifully drawn and entertaining issue that pits Old Thor and Old Man Phoenix vs Old Man Doctor Starbrand Ghost Sorcerer Iron Fist Doom. Yes, it’s exactly as fun as it sounds. And the best is still yet to come as Old Loki gains control of the Necrosword. Man, I love you Jason Aaron

This is epic cosmic battle done right, love it! I also love the worm interludes, I wasn't sure where that was going at first but couldn't be happier. My only gripe is that Thor's daughters are essentially forgotten halfway through the issue.

Jason Aaron has played the "THIS IS THE GREATEST COSMIC BATTLE OF ALL TIME" card a bit too much across his Thor run. However - that doesn't stop this from being a gripping read with excellent characterization.
