TARGET: SPIDER-MAN IN PREDATOR'S GRITTIEST SERIES YET!

In Predator vs. Wolverine, we saw a single Predator stalk Earth's greatest prey, the killing machine Wolverine. In Predator vs. Black Panther, Yautja invaded Wakanda and nearly dethroned its king. Now Ben Percy turns his twisted brain to Marvel's most beloved property: Spider-Man!

A heat wave sends NYC into a blackout and Spider-Man on patrol as tempers boil across the city. But beneath its grimy sewers and subways lurks a threat unlike anything Peter Parker has faced before. Introducing "Skinner," a Predator of no honor and no clan - only a thirst for blood.

Predator vs. Spider-Man #1 is a blood-drenched mystery with teeth, setting the stage for an unforgettable showdown. A dream crossover that lives up to the nightmare, Percy and Ferreira deliver a suspenseful, slow-burn opener that respects both franchises while raising the stakes with gruesome flair. If this issue is any indication, the eventual clash will be nothing short of epic. Read Full Review

Predator VS Spider-Man Issue 1 brings the wallcrawler down to the monster's level. Its an incredibly gritty, disturbing and blood-soaked comic, making every page a varying level of discomfort and fear. Read Full Review

While the first issue of Predator vs. Spider-Man #1 gets bogged down in setup, leading to uneven pacing and questionable character choices, it successfully establishes a dark, gritty tone that blends the two franchises and promises a worthwhile payoff once the complete story unfolds. Spider-Man vs. Predator #1 is like getting a really well-made fast food burger. It's exactly what you ordered and comes with exactly with what you would expect, but something about it just hits. Percy and Ferreira may distill everything readers know from the title properties to a cartoonish degree, but its in that timeless representation the joy of such a crossover can be found. I suspect that Predator vs. Spider-Man will read better in a collected volume rather than month to month. The pacing of this first chapter is a bit off, as are some of the character and story choices. However, it is still a solid start to a story that promises to capture the essence of both franchises. MarvelMarvelThe violence in Predator vs. Spider-Man may go overboard for some people, with several readers potentially finding it too edgy or try-hard. Nevertheless, the excessive violence gives these Predator vs. miniseries its identity. Readers should know what they're getting into by the time of the third miniseries. There's a particular standout moment where Skinner rips off the skin of a man's face with his bare hands. If that seems too much, it's probably best to skip this mini. Yet this may be the perfect mini, if that is more up your style. Read Full Review

Predator vs. Spider-Man #1 ain't here to give you instant gratification. It's the first shot of tequila before the night turns into a movie you barely remember. It's laying down bricks for something that's about to get loud, bloody, and wild. When this thing finally pops off? Man, ain't nobody gonna be ready. This crossover is about to slap harder than Aunt May's wooden spoon. Yeah, it's a slow roll, yeah, Pete's making some weird moves, but once that Predator starts stacking bodies in Queens? It's gonna be GAME ON, BABY. Read Full Review

Predator Versus Spider-Man #1 has some fun moments sprinkled throughout, but they don't come together in any sort of decent way, and this leaves the issue feeling purposeless and a bit on the boring side. Read Full Review
