Thirdly, while the art team changed a bit too much for my liking, they knocked it out of the park getting Caselli and Delgado here. We may not have gotten our answers to the fate of Kate Pryde, but we still got answers that were hard to ignore. Callisto is a welcomed addition, and it didn't hurt to know where the Morlocks now fit into this new world. Marauders #7 took advantage of world-building which should be something we get from all Dawn of X books right now. Read Full Review

Despite those small issues, "From Emma, With Love" still has plenty toenjoy here. Howard's dialogue sparkles with its usual wit and whataction we get is a lot of fun. This is the necessary "further complications" issue of this kind of story arc and while such issuesaren't the most memorable, it's still a dependably entertaining read. Read Full Review

This weeks tale wasnt exciting, gripping, or even unduly entertaining. Sure, the character voices were accurate but nothing encapsulated my attention. Nothing in the story was overly involved. The writing in Marauders is great if you are here for the character development. This is strong issue for Callisto, and drawing the parallels of her life to other more privileged mutants around her. The story itself is lacking and is convoluted to a point where it can't be followed. And honestly? With a character like Kitty Pryde being missing, the stakes are low because we all know she has survived worse situations and she can phase her way out of anything. Read Full Review

Another good issue. Tough call on a week to week basis between this and XForce. But dayum...Where the hell is Kate F-ing Pryde??? The shrivled up prune like state of ole dragon at the end was kinda icky. Another banger!

I don’t know what in the world is happening with Kitty, but Callisto makes a solid substitute protagonist. Emma is awesome as usual. Pretty eventful issue that I enjoyed but I wish Duggan hadn’t ignored last issue’s last page. Love Caselli’s art

Prelude: Marauders has been one of my favourite books so let's see how it goes now after that last issue. The Good: I liked Callisto. Verendi is interesting still. Can't wait for Shaw to get his comeuppance. The Bad: It does feel like it's missing some soul to the book. Conclusion: It's a good issue but it feels like it's missing something. Kate really did add a lot to the book.

Callisto arrives to take up Kate's protagonist slot, and the shoe of Kate's disappearance refuses to drop just yet. Bishop's on the case, though! This is uniformly high-quality storytelling, but it nudges many plotlines along by small increments rather than delivering any one big development.

I wish this issue followed up on what happened to Kate at the end of the previous issue, but this was still good overall. I don't know much about Callisto, but I enjoyed her here. Plus, I liked pretty much everything centered on Bishop. I'm hoping to see more of him if Duggan continues to write him the way he did in the few pages we got of him. Caselli did a nice job with the art as well, so, despite the absence of Kate this time around, this was still a good read.

THE GOOD: -The art was nice. -I know next to nothing about Callisto, but I liked her a lot here. -The Bishop action scenes were very good. -That scene with Masque was the highlight for me. Just a great example of how good of a writer Gerry Duggan can be. -Very interested by the ending. THE BAD: -The lack of resolution for last issue's ending is actually quite annoying. I'm sure it's happening for a reason, but it certainly made a lot of this issue feel unsatisfying. -Eh. Verendi feels like yet another ridiculously bland bad guy organization.

I honestly hate the Pirate crap mixed with X men it looks stupid and the dialogue trying to throw little pirate jokes in here and there makes it that much worse. I just cant get over how forced the whole pirate thing is. That being said this issue was not as terrible as some of the others. Art was nice and I found this issue to make less mistakes with the stories progression. Still, the series as a whole feels all over the place and is still almost unreadable for me but this issue did slightly help increase the chances of reading issue 8.

"Do you need some clothes?" The trend from the last issue continues. Things are getting more interesting, but they're still not all the way there. Verendi is still plotting, Caselli's art is Amazing and Callisto along with Bishop are the best characters in this issue. Unfortunately no news about the state and whereabouts of Captain Pryde. But she survived a ride in a giant space bullet through the galaxy, so I'm hoping she's fine. Overall, things are improving and I hope they will continue to do so in the next issues. One more thing though. I think there has been a mistake in the placement of the Quiet Council members. If I recall correctly from other books, Apocalypse was always with Xavier and Magneto, Storm with Kurt and Jean and Mystique with Sinister and Exodus(?). It's not really important, but it just stood out to me, I wonder if anyone else noticed that. more
