Incredible Hulk #17 finally brings Hulk face to face with Eldest. Naturally, a fight ensues and it looks great thanks to Nic Kleins art and Matthew Wilson's colors making it look brutal, bloody, and powerful. As a result, Hulk and Eldest look epic and truly monstrous during their fight. And the ending shows that there's still more to come as the plot moves into high gear next issue. Read Full Review

After losing momentum for a few arcs, this comic begins to pick up steam again. Nic Klein continues to amaze.

This book continues to be interesting in a way I don't fully understand, heh. The art is great, so that much is clear. The plot and writing is very good, can't say I'm tracking everything 100% but I definitely got the gist of this issue. Good stuff.

Klein's art is a joy to behold and the main highlight of this series. Johnson's story telling has been slow but I hope it picks up from now on. The constant filler issues is disappointing. Best moment of this issue was the true form reveal of the Eldest. That was terrifying. A weird bone-chilling despair if you will. Also Banner's betrayal of Hulk is BS, like it works for the story and I am not upset with Johnson doing that, I am just reminded that Bruce can be a terrible coward sometimes and it that is what makes the 'team' interesting. I look forward to the next issue.

It's a real shame what this series has devolved into. That being said, this is one of the better issues in quite a while.
