Sep 04, 2019Perhaps what's most impressive in The Immortal Hulk #23 is that, despite being a seemingly perfect issue of superhero action and horror, it still promises #24 will be even more impressive. I can't wait. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Christopher Landers
Sep 05, 2019Overall, this issue doesnt have a sour note. If youve been reading this book, you know this is what been building to for a while. Ewing definitely seems to be coming up on a milestone for the title, but he also appears to be nowhere near slowing down or running out of ideas. This is one of Marvels best books out right now, and if youve been sleeping on it, you should take some time to catch up. It is, without a doubt, history in the making. Read Full Review

Horror DNA - James Ferguson
Sep 27, 2019Immortal Hulk is horror at an epic scale. It's like the Universal monsters mixed with Godzilla fighting it out in radiation-fueled madness. It has all the awesome action of a blockbuster movie coupled with some of the most unsettling imagery on comic stands today. This book delivers on multiple fronts and never, ever disappoints. Sep 08, 2019There is so much more to talk about. Ewing keeps the mystery going and the mind wondering "What's next?" for this eerie tale. The Immortal Hulk is one of those books that opens up a character's world to places that you never thought it could go and it's fascinating to read just how far this journey will go. Read Full Review

Comics: The Gathering - Charles Martin
Sep 04, 2019Immortal Hulk #23 serves up a beast of a Round One in this climactic fight issue. It pushes the envelope even more than usual, tap-dancing on the line between moving horror and Grand Guignol gore. Though a few steps go over the edge, the overall dance remains engrossing and, as ever, gorgeously illustrated. We couldn't possibly look away. Read Full Review

Beyond The Panel - Jideobi Odunze
Sep 04, 2019Immortal Hulk #23 so far is everything you could have wanted from these two forces clashing. It has all come down to this moment, and even now this creative team has not failed to throw surprises at us. When playing for keeps like this? You can bet that a couple of things will turn your stomach to make the point that this isn't your average hero versus villain scenario. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - Dispatchdcu
Sep 04, 2019Ewing takes the opportunity to elevate some of the lesser-known characters in his narrative while unleashing a monstrous battle between some of the biggest Gamma giants in comics today. While the issue doesnt progress the series any further, the comic was still a fun read that showcased this extremely talented art team led by the outstanding Joe Bennett. If youve been following along to this point, this reviewer would tell you to continue to pick this issue up. However, the series has felt like it has slowed down a bit too much as of late. Heres to hoping readers get an epic reveal next issue before the series begins to stall out. Read Full Review

Sep 06, 2019The Immortal Hulk #23 could have been your average action issue, but does a great job at giving a human element as Al Ewing gets to further develop his new cast member to the Hulk mythos. Read Full Review
