I have to commend Mark Waid for not dragging out the conflict to an extent where the reader would have to keep guessing. He revealed the truth in service to a much better story and that's something I appreciate as a reader. Read Full Review

Pina captures a little of the realism displayed in the first arc but brings more of a traditionally modern comic book style. That said, the precision and color are impressive. It's a good thing when a talented artist gets a book like Doctor Strange and is allowed to play with the fantasy genre. This second arc continues to draw me in and hold my emotional investment in Strange but also, more importantly, demons. Read Full Review

This issue to me feels like a mission statement, with a battle between Waids new Strange and the Strange of the Aaron/Cates run. What you knew before was great but its time to move on. Waid kills the old with the new in a way that solves longstanding questions from years ago and brings old characters back in new and very interesting ways. wow, what could have been just another groan-inducing arc where we have to wonder if he's "really back" or if we really have to suffer through years more of Dr. Strange without magic... pretty much immediately put that to rest and is giving us a very nice story! I'm in! from a base of 6, this gets a rating of: 9. +1 because: the art was definitely above average. +2 because: so much going on, and all worthwhile

I'm glad that was dealt with sooner than later and the story was much better for it. Of course Jesus Saiz not being there takes away from the art for me but Javier Pina isn't a bad second choice.

I kind of, sort of remember Casey from years ago, but she was not around for long, so just barely. Regardless, it is a pretty cool development, and she actually sports the more appealing Dr. Strange costume.

First Issue I wasn't fund off. Maybe because I didn't know who his the character Strange fight. Maybe because it's hard to follow witch strange we follow (Even if there outfit help) Maybe because I didn't care & would love more Space adventures ! Cover - Nice & related 2/2 Writing - Logic, nicely done. A pleasure to see Bats the ghost dog. 2/3 Arts - I like it even if there is some panel without background. 2.5/3 Feeling - A little disappointed. 1/2

I actually liked this a little less than I have been liking it so far. Maybe too disjointed this time round.
