This is a great tie-in issue to King in Black. Yes, it does change lanes with what we have been reading and wanting, but Zdarsky makes this a side trip you'll want to go on. Get ready for some wild showdowns, plot advancement, and a broken man meeting a dark god. Hell's Kitchen is really cooking! Read Full Review

Daredevil #26 is a bit of a departure from the normal schedule of Daredevil comics due to it being a tie-in issue. The issue does well with providing some interesting scenes and horror elements that we would normally not be able to see in Daredevil's rogue gallery. Hopefully there will be some elements from this issue that will provide for future story elements to play off of once the King in Black storyline concludes. Read Full Review

Daredevil #26 is a bit of an odd issue. On one point the story does continue forward. Zdarsky works in the King in Black storyline while continuing his story of Daredevil in prison and Elektra taking over as protector of Hell's Kitchen. But I feel myself more wondering what would have happened without all the chaos of this event infiltrating this storyline. Read Full Review

Daredevil #26 is a solid tie-in to the King In Black event that has taken over the Marvel Universe. Chip Zdarsky is able to work in Elektra Natchios new life as Daredevil in a way that continues to drive home what her mentality is going into being a superhero. Similarly, we get some good developments for Matt Murdock's new life as a prisoner serving out his sentence. Hopefully once these tie-ins to King In Black are done we can fully explore all the plans Zdarsky has for Daredevil moving forward. Read Full Review

I'll admit, I was was worried that King in Black would made this excellent worse, but as usual, Zdarsky delivers. And as usual, no complains, just wonderful writing, great art and pleasant surprises.

God damn does Zdarsky always deliver. He even makes a tie in enjoyable to read. I love the use of two artists for different parts of the book. A lot of books these days use multiple artists to get the book out on time, but they draw the same story and it's very jarring to read a story and the art changes from one page to the next. It works here because it's telling two stories, so both parts feel very organic and look great. The story is also so fun and ties into Zdarsky's daredevil as well. This book is so damn good

Overall, another great issue of Daredevil. It's great to see Elektra taking up the mantle of being Daredevil and the challenge she faces of living up to the name when she struggles with her complicated morals.

King in black has been tremendous! That being said daredevil has been so amazing that the tie in to a tremendous event while still fantastic is not quite as good as the regular daredevil books. This continues to be one of the must read books

Elektra is a great DD srand in, I am eager to see the progression of her story after this whole King In Black debacle. I love how all the old Venomized variants are finally becoming canon characters. DD giving into the symbiote has created one badass character and Daredevil's experience in jail is as real as it gets. But in all seriousnesa, when the guards were getting murked by the symbiotes, what was DD really going to be able to do ? - cvrthebard.tumblr.com

I was dismayed to hear that King In Black was about to derail my favorite Marvel book, but you know what? Zdarsky and Checchetto used lemons to make lemonade. They are on a roll and not even a generic crossover event can stop them!

In the prison and on the streets, Matt and Elektra's stories are overrun by the King in Black. It's solid action, and it's layered on top of continued excellence in characterization. This is a digression from the title's course, but a welcome one. It hasn't quite happened yet, but it seems very likely that the tie-in will end up being tied thematically to what this title's characters are going through.

I enjoyed this much more than I expected to. Though I couldn't care less about King In Black, the Elektra half of the issue was actually a pretty fun read. The Daredevil half sets up some interesting conflicts within the prison too. But that cliffhanger was just dumb. DareVenom? It's like a bad idea out of 90s Marvel. At least this is only a two-issue tie-in.

Good issue. I don't care about King in Black so this took a dip for me but the narrative still holds and the 2 stories working around each other with 2 different artists actually worked here. Both Hawthorne and Checchetto are great but I have to give a shout-out to the inker Di Benedetto because his inks over Hawthorne pencils were fantastic. Finally that last page was so funny to me because all I can think of was All Might Plus Ultra because of the horns and the creepy forced smile lol now all I'm gonna think about is Hell's Kitchen Smash!!

A King in Black tie in that puts a stop to the ongoing story but still a very fun read, and a mighty test for Elektra in her new-found role.

Checchetto's pages were beautifully drawn, as was to be expected, but the prison scenes were less so. It's a shame that every now and then a big event like this will come along and derail all of a series' built up momentum. I get why it has to be tied in, it just sucks for the story that was being told.
