Plot
This comic serves as support for the Blood Hunt event, where the Avengers fell under the attack of BloodCoven and Captain Marvel asks Captain America to assemble a new team to defend the planet from the attack of Vampires.
Steve Rogers summons Hercules, Kate Bihop/Hawkeye, Quicksilver and Hazmat, who manage to mesh as a team and head out to stop an organized group of Vampire-Nazis led by Baron Blood, who control a Helicarrier.
The dynamic of this team is great, it's an alienation whose personalities balance each other.
Cap's goal is to keep Baron Blood distracted so that the Avengers can free the trapped humans, but they didn't consider that there are more humans than escape pods, just as there are many more vampires than the
ones they already defeated, so Cap goes to perform a dangerous maneuver with the Helicarrier but it is the only option.
This comic nourishes this terrifying event, where the Vampires not only have a numerical advantage in their attacks, but also in weapons.
Art
It's textured and organic, with great large-scale action sequences.
Summary
The Avengers are outnumbered as they try to save thousands of victims kidnapped by Nazi Vampire leader Baron Blood. Exciting and cool support comic for the Blood Hunt event, which works well individually. more

Another fun tie-in issue with Blood Hunt. Villa's art was a little rough on certain pages, but I still liked it overall. As for MacKay, I, once again, think he nailed the characters. I could totally read a Hercules miniseries from him after reading how he writes him here. I'm looking forward to seeing how this wraps up.

Liked this way better than the previous. In The Avengers Mackay is good at creating separated spaces for each character and showing them off. I think we got a little bit of that here. It feels like there is a special place for all the characters here and most of the time it feels pretty natural. There is just that cooky quartet feeling of so many strong, extreme personalities at times clashing, albeit way less toxic and more fun, while at the same time, the direct contrasts, show their definite characteristics. I like how Mackay writes Cap, but with him and Baron Blood, it can get a bit stale and their interaction here seemed overlong, still, there is a good boiling synergy between the Cap's plot and the rest's. But when the team is involve
d is better, even if the action and the whole writing tactics are simple and sometimes too much on the nose, it gets more energetic. When Cap's plot transitions to that of the Avengers, there is a a boom to it, but personally, I feel like Villa does not sell it as well, as it could have been. Admittedly it's a book about vampire nazis, the comic gets how unserious, ridiculous, and bombastic all that is, so the tone reflects that, and because of it being on the blunter side and a little bit sloppier in its pacing, it's not a mortal sin. Just there really isn't much to chew on here, besides the strong and direct characterizations and at times well-connected structure, but even in those aspects, it's not that special for me at least. I have similar sentiments about the art. Personally, I wanted way more out of this arc because I love the characters involved, but I am not too disappointed either. it's just a B movie for me. more

The story was so generic that I just felt like I was going threw the motions bored reading but there were some good banter/character moments but not as good as the previous issue.
