May 06, 2026Tales of the Green Lantern Corps: Guy Gardner #1 is a fun and emotional rollercoaster, as only Guy Gardner could bring. One minute, we want to punch him in the face, and by the end of this issue, we want to just hug him. It was a fun issue, and I would love to get more from other Lantern perspectives! Read Full Review

May 06, 2026Guy’s characterization here definitely leans more into the roguish version defined by the iconic JLI run, which may seem like a step back for some, but it worked for me. And I’ve got to say, Zardum is one of the most promising new Lantern characters in a while. Read Full Review

May 06, 2026Tales of the Green Lantern Corps: Guy Gardner #1 delivers a fun and character-driven spotlight that balances humor, action, and surprising emotional depth. Gerry Duggan leans into Guy’s abrasive personality while giving him enough humanity to make the story land. The dynamic between Guy and John Stewart adds weight, and the creative art team keeps the visuals lively throughout. It may not redefine the character, but it is an entertaining and worthwhile read for Green Lantern fans. Read Full Review

May 07, 2026Tales From the Green Lantern Corps: Guy Gardner #1 is an unexpectedly impressive one-shot from a creative team that hasn't been involved in recent Green Lantern books. Duggan turns out solid character exploration of both Guy and John while keeping to a lighter tone. Current Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps readers shouldn’t look at this as an unimportant one-shot, but instead as a necessary part of current Green Lantern storytelling. Read Full Review

A pleasant surprise. Very fun. It's a relief to have a Green Lantern comic that isn't written by Jeremy Adams. I really liked the use of the alien Lanterns, as well as the characterization of Guy and John.
