this was a great and satisfying cosmic ending. But I can't help and feel that this story was rushed. Art was fantastic and I like the crazy space concepts Jeremy Adams throws out here

This was truly an epic conclusion to this arc and this story that has been going on since the start. First I must say, Xermanico understood the mission. His art is at his best here. The cosmic horror... you can feel how this battle is epic, how it is for the lives of billions. The use of colour, I could gush more about the art but I have to speak to the story. I love how logical it feels, you have a couple of being who each got their taste of 'unlimited power' now going at each other while Hal and the crew are trying to stop it. Kyle gets some great moments as well. Also the moment the villains realize they have been played... pretty great. While the conclusion isnt quite as epic as I would have wanted, it also feels like it wasnt a cop out and it was a reasonable way to fix the problem. There was no way they could actually defeat them, so trapping them made sense. The new status quo that Adams has establish is a very unstable one that even Hal notes. Clearly he is establishing a transition period of where are going to be shaken up and resettled. I am so excited to see what he does with Lantern lore from here and these 'fractal lanterns'. The next phase of this GL run is about to begin and I cannot wait (even Sorrow is sort of growing on me if he gets more antagonistic). more

The art of this issue is just amazing and deserves high praise for all the characters Xermanico has to juggle with great detail and non stop action. Though some of these story beats go over my head from not reading some of the previous runs, I'm so grateful for writers like Adams and PJK for not just simply waiving things off but actually doing the work of explaining or cleaning lingering things up from previous continuity. Glad Adams took care of these outstanding plots but really looking forward to the following issues where he can focus on his own story which I've been more invested in.

This is the end of the Civil Corp arc. The story had some nice moments especially between Hal and Carol and Kilowog coming in at the last moment to save the day. I wish we had seen him earlier in the story, however. The next arc seems to focus on Sorrow ow which I am not a fan. Overall, this arc was overblown with storyline threads. I hope the next one is a bit more streamlined. On a poisitve note, Jeremey did a good job with the characters and it's probably the best GL story we have seen in a long time. A fun conclusion that felt epic, but also a little unfocused in certain spots. Some of the dialogue wasn't my favorite, as well, as it felt like "witty" action dialogue. I don't know if that description makes sense, but it's something that I'm not a fan of from not just comics, but movies and television as well.

I have high expectations for this book but it just keeps disappointing me. I’m sorry. Since the more we buy, the less Hal we get, I don’t see the point of supporting this book anymore.
