By the end of the issue, Barry has to make a decision. He can save Central City. But to do so he has to team up with Glider, Heatwave and the Weather Wizard. Can they be trusted? Williamson and Duce have created another fine issue and I can wait to see where this ends up. Read Full Review

Williamson has had over eighty issues to show us exactly how to balance the dense plotting of an event storyline with a more character-driven take, and as this title marches on towards 100, it remains one of the most consistently entertaining books in DC's lineup. Read Full Review

Williamson shows off his talent as this stories continues in this book. It would have been so easy to go forward with the book in the way we all believed it would. However, he took the chance and changed things up on us. It keeps things fresh and allows new stories to be told that weren't available before. It's really masterfully done and I am enjoying the hell out of this book right now. Add some beautiful art to the mix and this is just an all around job well done. Read Full Review

Overall, Flash continues at a (excuse me) brisk pace, building on the momentum the title received during Flash: Year One. Big things are coming, and Williamson isnt done yet if you want a Flash who isnt constantly moping around like his TV counterpart has been this season, come check this book out! Read Full Review

Christian Duce offers some great visuals in this issue. The characters look great and there are some great moments featuring Glider, Weather Wizard and the Flash. I like the way Duce frames a scene and the action was well done. Read Full Review

Outside of the speedsters, I did enjoy Duce’s linework for the supporting characters such as Captain Cold and Glider (less so Weather Wizard). His eye for cinematography in the fight scene was again, pretty good, but I would have liked to see a little bit more. His linework is enhanced by Guerrero’s excellent color work and choices throughout. Read Full Review

All in all, this story arc has been a bit of a slog, and thats unfortunate because Williamson is normally one of the best Flash writers since Geoff Johns. The good news is, this issue has provided some hope for Rogues Reign to turn around. If Williamson can keep his upward momentum steady through the end of the story, he might just be able to save it in the end. Read Full Review

Prelude: Rogues' Reign has been an absolute blast so far so let's see how Williamson goes on this issue. The Good: I like the progression with the Speed Force this issue. The Rogues are interesting and it's nice with how they are realising Cold isn't much of a Rogue anymore. I liked that cliffhanger. Duce's art was good here. He's definitely a fly under the radar artist but it worked well here. The Bad: Not much progress this issue. Conclusion: This story is shaping up really well but I wish there was more progress within the actual issue itself. It'll probably read better in trade though due to that.

I think the biggest issue I have with this run is how repetitive it is. We're having yet another story about Flash learning to master the speed force. It's mind numbing how much concepts are reused in the past 85 issues. I just don't think Joshua Williamson has many ideas for the Flash. His other work has been better than this. This is just so rote.
