Nov 15, 2018The Force Quest is off to a brilliant start. Taking the Flash out of Central City and on a tour of the wider DCU is a refreshing change of pace for the title. And it's great to see Barry once again moving towards a goal rather than just reacting to the crises around him. Barry's quest looks to be a great new direction for the title. Read Full Review

Nov 14, 2018THE FLASH #58 is a superb issue. It changes the feel of the book by placing the Flash in a new setting with a new mission. It's the perfect jumping-on point for the series. Joshua Williamson writes some fantastic characterization as well as a truly interesting plot. Rafa Sandoval draws a beautiful looking book. Read Full Review

Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles
Nov 14, 2018Williamson goes a little old school in introducing another problem for The Flash before addressing the current one. I like that as not every villain should be so quickly handled. The Flash continues to be the model of consistency and remains a must-read every other week. Read Full Review

Nov 14, 2018The Flash storyline has been resuscitated from a stupor caused by over-reliance on tropes and themes that have been overly-explored in his recent books. The storytelling of Joshua Williamson has always had deep emotional connections between characters that feel organic and earned. However, in this current arc, Williamson is putting The Flash in the position of being a student of The Speed Force and has included Iris as an equal partner in the venture. I'm excited to see what they learn together and how it will impact the character moving forward. Read Full Review

Nov 14, 2018The visuals keep the train moving full speed ahead, and despite not being extremely interested in some of the familiar locations, we're definitely giving this quest the benefit of the doubt. Read Full Review

Nov 23, 2018In the end, if youre just picking up this book for the first time with this issue...apologies are in order. Its normally a much better read. Stick around to see what happens with that cliffhanger, because its pretty much guaranteed to be uphill from here on out. And, if youre a longtime reader of Williamsons Flash, you know he has been building to something big with Barry for a while now, so it will definitely be worth waiting to see that plan unfold. Nov 14, 2018With this issue I'm officially reading this for the sake of reviewing it. I no longer care about anything happening here. The potential is there but Williamson is constantly shooting himself in the foot when it comes to getting me excited about this book. He has a great idea here but it's truly sad that he isn't doing it justice. Read Full Review

Nov 14, 2018Do you like to have a recap every issue for no reason? How about the Flash breaking up petty crime? How about covers that have nothing to do with the actual issue? If you said no to any of those, this isn't the issue for you and frankly, it's hard to think of someone that this issue is actually for. At least the art is great. Read Full Review
