If you're looking for an easy and fun to read, Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #19 gives you a break from some of the darker stuff out there. This is the breath of fresh air we needed.

The Drowned Earth arc has been one I have thoroughly enjoyed and one that, creatively speaking, managed to mesh the Justice League and Aquaman worlds in a way that did service to both.

Avengers #4 is a breezy read and I'm interested to see where it next goes.

Full of political intrigue and strong character interactions, this tale kicks off what is sure to be an interesting arc of politics and family.

A great read that balances the political intrigue and Batgirl's personal character story well.

Continuing to define great and subtle character work, this political thriller manages to conclude in a satisfying way whilst leaving the door open for a bigger threat.

A masterclass in tone and character work, Batgirl #33 is the best issue of the arc, with fantastic artwork to support the stellar writing.

A brisk adventure which contains personal plot elements that threaten to change the status quo, alongside great visuals and an exciting action sequence.

The Flash #47 has done a fantastic job in capitalising on Wally's presence and the array of interesting characters that line the Flash universe.

The Flash #48 is bold, colourful and well told.

If DC continues on this track, the repetition will start to become even more obvious.

The finish of this title is one that leaves a lot of room for thought.

With the waves of change sweeping across Central City, The Flash must learn to work alongside his partners if he is to face the new forces emerging.

Finally giving The Flash some new ground to work with, Issue 53 continues to focus on fun takes of old characters whilst building both a redemptive arc and a coping mechanism for Barry in an ever-changing landscape.

The Flash #56 is a much deeper exploration into Barry and Burns. Great writing and great art make this a fun read.

A moving exploration of mental health and change, this issue juggled a lot whilst still becoming an exciting push towards something new.

The Speed Quest has been interesting thus far. With some quirky art and great character interactions, it's really something fresh.

Continuously inventive and well written, the plot of this arc is more compelling than many others in parallel books.

Taking an interesting look into a different community, Flash becomes more personal as we're introduced to a new hero that can help out on the Force Quest.

Continuing to hit its stride, the Force Quest takes the Flash and re-evaluates his understanding of the new world he finds himself in.

Jam-packed with potential, this action-filled issue covered a lot of ground whilst managing to hit every note successfully.

There is a lot of exposition dump in The Flash #63 and it actually rounds up a lot of the arc with a satisfying conclusion. It's a pity that it doesn't end with the first half of the story.

A compelling Trickster origin that elevates a stale character to new heights.

A good continuation of some long running themes and an eerie exploration of the city that Barry left behind, now that the Trickster is in charge.

A must-read for new Flash fans and a fun trip down memory lane, with a few new twists, for those familiar with the Scarlet Speedster.

The writing is crisp and the narrative succinct. It doesn't reinvent the wheel but it adds a new lick of paint to it, making it feel a lot fresher. The art was also admirable, capturing, most importantly, the emotions of our main hero. I'd like to see more from this series and be able to track its progression as there is potentially something special there.

Overall, whilst I love the vibrant art and use of coloured lettering, I didn't love this Harley Loves Joker #1 story.

Finally understanding where the narrative is headed, Harley Loves Joker #2 managed to surpass my expectations.

I am sceptical as to whether the quality of this series will dip in the future due to the elements I have mentioned but, for now, I'm going to enjoy the journey that thus far has been expertly crafted.

Justice League #3 is integral in setting up the future direction of the series.

The best issue in the series so far, Justice League #5 puts the focus on the detestable Legion of Doom in a great exploration of their villainous plan.

An adventure with strong character moments falls short when the weight of its over-complicated narrative threatens to crush the issue into confusion.

Landing safely, this issue manages to wrangle in some of the complicated story elements bringing it back to basics, with strong character work and intriguing, potentially hugely consequential premises.

A fun and interesting read by all accounts, this is a strong addition to the line.

With great art as always, Justice League #10 certainly set up some fresh ground (or rather water) to explore.

Imaginative in its execution and feeling like some classic adventure and fantasy tale, Justice League #11 does a good job of moving the story along.

Justice League #12 is still continuing the momentum of previous issues, leading us to what appears to be a strong and well-crafted conclusion.

A breath of fresh air in a fantastically paced series. Joker shines in this tale of manipulation and madness.

Continuing the streak of quality and creativity, The Secret Of Hawk World! explores many of the secrets of some of our core characters in a spectacular way.

Beginning the year on a high, the beautifully created Thanagar Prime unravels new secrets about the multiverse in an exciting, action-packed adventure.

A satisfying conclusion to one story and the final push for another, this issue centres on the truths of some of DC's finest and their quest to face these without backing down.

Taking us on a very different journey, with themes of betrayal, belief and faith, this story explores the Luthor legacy and finds some further truths about the characters involved.

Maintaining a fresh and fun feel within each page, Justice League #19 contributes to the larger story that is being told with more great art and fun interactions between the characters.

Justice League #20 has some of the best artwork of the series. This is a fantastic looking comic book.

Justice League #22 is a standalone issue in many ways. It is told beautifully through its images. This is a book that everyone has to pick up.

Drowned Earth #1 is fun and interesting, apart from the Orm confusion I mentioned. This is stellar writing and artwork from the team once again.

Justice League: No Justice #1 is the start of a miniseries that perhaps should have more issues considering its stakes, but what's in-store seems like a fun ride with high stakes to match the thrills.

A fun read with continuously high stakes and a frenetic pace leave me wanting more of No Justice!

Not as fun as the last two, but full of the same kinetic energy and intrigue. Justice League: No Justice #3 adds another unique element to this 4 part narrative.

Justice League: No Justice delivered on the promise that it would mix things up for these classic heroes. This was a stellar series with a fitting finale.

As this miniseries races towards its conclusion, it shows that it is anything but simple and streamlined. Complex yet relatable, Mera Queen of Atlantis has been a turning point for the heroine, as she embarks on a character-defining series that may just transcend the recent work of her future spouse.

Mera Queen Of Atlantis is a must-read for fans!

I'm very happy that Mera, Queen Of Atlantis was as good as it was and I believe they'll be a few more Mera fans after this, ahead of her role on the big screen.

Gritty, beautiful, realistic and powerful, Mister Miracle is still garnering much-earned attention.

Absolutely worth following in the future to see where they take this, for Skyward the only way is up from here on out.

Capturing the spirit of the show whilst attempting to add something new, Stranger Things #1 successfully continues what works about the TV equivalent but has a lot of room to grow from it.

This is a promising start to another section of the Dark Night: Metal series.

Whether The Immortal Men will be timeless is up for debate, but there is a lot of work still to go before these characters resonate with readers.

Overall, this issue slowed down the title whilst still keeping us interested. The Immortal Men are clearly a team that will have longevity if this type of storytelling is to continue.

The Immortal Men #4 does a lot to set the title up as a longstanding narrative with compelling characters.

Overall, if you have the time give The Unexpected a try. However, if you are looking for a series that you can sink your teeth into, perhaps The Immortal Men will be a better fit.

There are better DC titles out there.

Taking readers in Unexpected directions, this series has hit its stride and it's all the more fun for it.

Our tour of the DC universe continues. The Unexpected #5 continues to explore the unexpected.

I hope to see The Unexpected series continue for at least another arc. Mandrakk, and even The Bad Samaritan to an extent, have been built as significant enemies. Now that the team functions together well, we've got a flavour of what The Unexpected could be.

Vibrant and kinetic, the piece is elevated by its art as this tale of action brings some of the highest stakes for some of DC's newest heroes.

As action packed and unexpected as its title, the finale of the series lives up to its previous issues, providing a satisfying and creative conclusion.

Whilst huge cosmic battles certainly garner ratings and big moments, it is these smaller slower chapters that add significant depth to the characters that inhabit this DC universe.

An adventurous and fun read, Wonder Woman is paired with some fantastic supporting characters and an intriguing mythos that raises the bar for the title.
