Overall, Batman and Robin 2024 Annual is a natural extension of the great work Williamson has done on the series so far. Both Bruce and Damian are in the woods and far from the city, so in a way, they are out of their element. The art does a good job conveying this, but this creative team pairing is much better suited for stories involving these characters in costume and in the city. In the end, Bruce and Damians relationship comes first and shines which is exactly what Williamson is trying to do. Read Full Review

Batman and Robin (2024) Annual #1 shows Bruce and Damian take a little camping trip away from Gotham that turns dangerous real quick. There's no real sense of danger or anything, but this comic is a nice side adventure for Bruce and Damian who get some downtime with a little bit of action. Balancing the positives and negatives, I can say this is an okay issue but it's, unfortunately, the kind of thing you read once, throw in a long box, and forget about the next day. While the good elements remain refreshing against the current backdrop of the Batman line, it just isn't a strong enough comic to justify a recommendation. Read Full Review

I liked this harmless fun story. Also, I love the action, art, and the story as well as character bonding between Bruce Wayne and Damian Wayne.

Good writing marks this breezy romp in the woods for Bruce and Dick, although the artwork often hurts the storytelling more than it helps. Porter needs to retire or get a good inker, his work has really deteriorated.

A fun read, a good oneshot, but as others have said, I think something is wrong with Porter. Like he either rushed this or age is getting to him or a health condition because this was really rough art. It actively hurt the score by a point for me. Fun simple story, poor art.

This was the kind of comic that's fun while you're reading it, but once you think about all of the holes in the story, it brings it down. The coincidences are off the chain. They get there and immediately find a body. Even if Bruce knew the situation, how did he know where to find the body? How did they get through the forcefield to get into the area to begin with?
