I really enjoyed this story and its mythological elements. I thought Gaia was used and represented exceptionally well, and I hope we see more fallout from the trust she has placed in Diana in future issues. Kelly Thompson continues to deliver strong, imaginative work on Wonder Woman, and I'm genuinely excited to see where she takes things next especially with the tease of an upcoming encounter with a certain Dark Knight. Thompson ends this issue with a tease for one of the most anticipated encounters in the Absolute Universe as Steve Trevor gives her some insight on Batman and Superman. Great wrap-up to this 2-part mystery that builds upon Diana’s character development and sets the stage for her next adventure, a mystery that will involve the Absolute Batman himself. The guest artist does a nice job working within the book’s established style, and Thompson delivers another epic journey deep into Diana’s world, with some on-point social commentary thrown in for good measure.

This story was a big step down from the previous ones. The story made no sense whatsoever and the conclusion was as meh as you can get. I know she's meeting up with Batman in the next issues, so maybe this was a filler for that. She did the same thing in her run of Capt. Marvel. Some of the lead in stories were just plain awful. Best absolute title hands down for me. Batman is fun but I’m reading absolute Wonder Woman in the parking lot of the comic shop. Maybe she’ll kill the main Wonder Woman in dcko and take her place in main continuity hahaha. Just playing….. kinda.
