But Why Tho? - William Tucker Mar 12, 2025

X-Men Issue 13 maintains the intensity. The battle on Thundercloud has not stopped yet, and neither side is ready to back down. The extreme nature of the conflict is stunning and captivating, showing just how desperate it has become to either keep Xavier somewhere safe or for him to escape. Read Full Review

The X-Manhunt event has been so much fun, and I think it X-Men #13 is the perfect example of how exciting the event is. X-Men #13 has so many moving parts within the story, and they're all written so fluidly by Jed MacKay. Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke Mar 12, 2025

X-Men #13 is a gripping chapter in the "X-Manhunt" crossover, packed with intense action, visually stunning sequences, and strong character dynamics. While it leans heavily on fight sequences over narrative depth, the issue's psychological battle and well-handled team interactions make it a standout read. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - mrgabehernandez Mar 12, 2025

X-Men #13 brings the first battle to take custody of Charles Xavier to a close when a new challenger steps into the ring. Jed MacKay's script delivers plenty of fast-paced action and excitement, and Netho Diaz's art style hits the bullseye. That said, you'll be lost if you don't read the connecting issues (some already slated for cancellation), and the setup for the rest of the crossover appears to be more forced fights to fill page space. I think this was my favorite issue of Jed Mackay's X-Men run so far.

What impressed me this time is the way nearly the entire cast got to contribute, with the exception of Cyclops, who remained out of commission after the beatdown he took last week in Storm. Magik did the most, which makes me happy, Temper and Juggernaught each got moments, this was a big issues for Quentin, and Psylocke got a big moment at the resolution.

The moment with Magik and Magneto was also hilarious.

There was something cathartic about seeing the X-Men stand up to and equal one of the so-called "omega-level" mutants, especially one who has the added boost of being powered by Eternity. A bit of an aside, what's the point of getting more

All the woke X-shills that haven't read a comic before 2022 will surely give this issue a ten. I I wonder though how other X-Men fans of 30+ years see it. To me it seems like this is the culmination of all the weird bullsh*t that has plagued the X-books since Jonathan Hickman left the line: questionable ideologies, psychopathic behavior celebrated as being heroic, former heroes getting the villain treatment and characters unrecognizable to any old-time reader. All this wrapped up in shoddy dialogue and bad art. This book is not only a low point in X-history, it's a disgrace and it hurts my soul.
The second point is for the colorist. At least one person on this book did their job.
